View Full Version : Mark my words Spurs GUARANTEED to win NBA championship this year

It's over for OKC no defense. And there as good as dead will be swept out of WCF. As for Boston and Miami I think that series will go 7 games but it's a real toss up between who wins. If miami faces the spurs they just don't have the depth to contend with San Antonio and pop is a way better coach than spoelstra. And if Boston faces them forget about it Duncan owns Garnett.

Here's another reason the spurs will win... They won the championship in another strike shortened season 98-99.

The basketball gods have deemed the spurs will always win the nba championship in a strike shortened season.

I am still sick over the Celtics game tonight....but really its been pretty obvious for awhile that there isn't really anybody thats going to be able to hold up against the Spurs.

A very well coached team, with tons of talent, leadership, experience, and DEPTH....that last word is the only reason Boston wont be hanging a banner again this year.

Usually when making predictions like these it is before the playoffs start, now your odds are 25% rather than 6.25% before the playoffs.

I hope the Spurs win too, but your post lacks any logic. A shortened season over ten years ago has zero relevance today.

Sports games are not 'toss ups,' like a coin flip. Your stats are skewed.

Does that mean David Robinson is coming out of retirement along with Robert Horry to hit the game winner? Probably not.

It is not really the home court advantage, but the way the spurs is playing.
So many ball movement, so many open shots..

I hope OP wrote this before Game 2, I don't know how in the h@!! Miami can drop three games in the series when they are up 2-0. We saw that Rondo had an amazing game, but he can't have 3 or 4 amazing games in the series. He played his heart out for over 50 minutes last night while Pierce was on the bench and Allen is too old (don't get me wrong, if was 100% I would give Allen the benefit of the doubt, but he isn't).

As for Spurs vs. Miami; I look forward to the series. Honestly, it could go either way especially depending on officiating. But, I think Spurs have a better chance because they have a solid bench. Miami lacks depth from the bench.

Also, I love how Panini is labeling Battier as a star in Gold Standard... NO CHANCE!

Spurs have yet to be eliminated. Some of you with the bump today may want to think about karma next time around. Final game is the toughtest to win, no question about it. I don't care either way. Bottom line the NBA will do their best to get two 7 game series, past has proved this. The ref's in both series have not been good, it's almost like they try to suck.

I think ALOT of people thought the Celtics were done and now look. Nobody in their right mind would count the Spurs out. That team knows how to focus and win a series. The refs are like the NBAs puppets and they will impose their might before all is said and done.

I, for one, didn't see the original post at the time it came out. Otherwise I would have laughed. But, now that it was bumped it deserves still a good chuckle. No, the Spurs aren't done yet, nor are the Heat or Celtics, but anytime anyone provides a premature "guarantee" it certainly deserves a few eye rolls. This is a clown thread. Everyone knows it. So I'm gonna laugh at it. And even more so if the Spurs don't win tonight in game 6.

OP here.

Massive "reverse" jinx? Then that means the Spurs will win tonight and the series. According to your logic I predict the spurs win. Regular jinx means they lose. But a reverse jinx means they will win it all this year.

MARK my words the Spurs will be the 2011-12 NBA champions.

You do realize OKC is not Miami, right? Seriously, three old men vs. early 20's. Only Rondo can keep up with them. And if you use Miami as a scale, everyone knows that Lebron ONLY plays three quarters, Wade is like a women on her cycle, you never know what you're going to get!!! Plus don't make me mention Battier or Bosh!!! Rondo is Boston's only hope, they may win one game of the series, definitely, not a sweep.

I was joking but since you brought it up...
This is the exact same thing that people were saying about the Celtics Vs. Heat
"Heat sweep Celtics", "Celtics win 1 but get crushed in 5" etc.
Look at where they are now, on the verge of beating the best healthy team in the east after being ridiculed with untrue comments.
