I found this in a storage building a couple of years ago.

I haven't found anything out about it, other than it was either never made or renamed(I forget)

The most important questions, what exactly is it and what's it worth?

The scanner put the shadow on the cover, it's in really good condition, not mint, probably 85-90%

If it's real, you may have a early draft of Star Trek 3 which was renamed The Search for Spock. No idea of the value, but if it's a real script for the film it might be a nice little find. Just FYI, many many fake scripts are sold on the net. No idea how you would authenticate. Thanks for showing as it's very cool.

I don't think it's a script, it's written, for lack of a better description, strangely.

It's kind written like a short story/book, but also describes how the scenes would play out, if that makes sense, sort of like describing what supposed to happen on set and what the setting should be.

I found out the story was released as a paperback... Amazon.com: Star Trek III - Return to Genesis: Harve BENNETT: Books (http://www.amazon.com/Star-Trek-III-Return-Genesis/dp/B002LTR03I) - 1 used from $350.00?!?!?

And I found this: Star Trek LCARS Book Database - Reference Manuals (http://cygnus-x1.net/links/lcars/REF.php)
(just search for "genesis", it's a ways down the page)

And this: Harve Bennett scripts for 4 Star Trek movies : Lot 285 (http://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/5966003)

...and this: Original Story Outline original / screen-used production material from Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (1984) (http://www.yourprops.com/Original-Story-Outline-original---screen-used-production-material-Star-Trek-III--The-Search-for-Spock--1984--prop-24257.html)

You might have something very special to a Trekkie. Nice find!
