I realized it before now... but looking at the list of "Best Available" even before the draft looks like we should be through the top 10 already in a normal draft year. In other words... this has got to be the weakest draft class since 2000, and IMO the weakest class I've ever seen. Pretty much all of the lottery picks project to ordinary NBA players and outside of the lottery there don't appear to be many players even capable of an NBA career past 2-3 seasons. I'm sure a few of these guys will end up surprising the annalists, but on paper going into the draft I'd be surprised if this entire class yields more than 5-6 all-star appearances ever.

I think Jennings will be a AI kind of player who is quick as hell, can score, is flashy but any team he's on won't have success. Hill will just be an average player I think.

I'd rather have a Terrence Williams, DeJuan Blair, or Tyler Hansbrough than those guys. These are guys that will be in the NBA for 10+ years due to their work ethic.

I really like Eric Maynor...I think he's going to be a solid NBA player. He has the swagger and the confidence you need.

I am also puzzled with the Timberwolves selection of both Rubio and Flynn. They traded away both of their main guards to the Wizards so I thought they were going to take a shooting guard, somebody like Curry after Rubio. I don't know how things will turn out and which PG will outshine the other. But as a Syracuse fan I am unsatisfied. I was hoping for a team with a lack of a point guard to draft Flynn so he could instantly move into a point guard starting position. However, I think the Timberwolves will start both Flynn and Rubio along with Corey Brewer (if healthy), Kevin Love, and Al Jefferson.

The problem with taking raw players is by the time they develop, their contract is up and they are a free agent. They average 5-9 points a game for three years and then develop and you lose them.

I think Flynn will be, but that's just me. Lawson won't be one of the top 5 fastest guys in the NBA, he can't play defense, he can't shoot, he won't be able to score that well in the NBA since he's short either.

Hell...he didn't even start but 2 games @ OSU. I vaguely remember a guy named Kosta Koufos that made the same mistake. They need to make these kids stay in school 3 years. There talent level is nowhere near the NBA level. Or for that matter even the D-League level.

yeah but thats only maybe guranteed in the first few picks , we al know that the nba draft mostly on raw talent then anything, it has a lot to do with where these guys fall in team wise as well, i mean look at tayshaun prince , i swore when he graduated at uk that his frail body would be eaten alive at the nba level, but he was drafted by a good piston team that took time and now he is a vitale player on that team

prime example in both ways is blair, blair works as hard as anyone i have seen , and is a beast around the rim, but his size hurts him, would i draft blair over clark is i had the choice yes i would, but clark goes on raw talent in todays nba, i just dont think clark will be a bust, will he be a franchise player probably not, but a kid that averages 10 points a game and 8 boards i think yes, now like you said it might be after his 3 years are up , but thats happens look at billups
