I was able to negotiate with a seller on eBay to get a good price on the 2010 National Treasures Adrian Peterson 1/1 NFL logo auto. Peterson only has 3 or 4 GU Auto Logos, and with his injury and his raise in price for his autograph, there isnt much likelihood there will be any more with an on card signature.

The 2008 Exquisite Logo Auto is actually owned by one of the board members here, but he wont sell. The auto logo from 2011 NT isnt that cool looking to me, as I really hate vertically oriented auto cards with a jumbo swatch. Im not aware of any other single auto logos with a GU swatch.

I really hate that this card is a sticker, but at least the design is cool. It was really the only part of 2010 NT I liked.

Here are the goods:

I wont buy cards where that happens. I have VERY particular standards for what I buy, and this card met all but one of them - sticker versus on card. Because of availability, I didnt really have much choice on that one.

Way to start off your very first post... :)!

Sounds like he has collecting standards... not sure why that makes him sound like a dick.

Dont sell yourself short, you are a tremendous slouch, haha.

Honestly though, I am a dick over what I buy, to the point where its really tough to find PC cards anymore. I wish I had standards that allowed me to stoop to the low levels that are present in most products these days.

Great card, I wish AP hadn't shortened his signature. His full auto is incredible.

Agree. However, if it was the full sig, it wouldn't be completely on the sticker. I think that the card looks better this way, nice addition OP :)! :D

Very true, his SP Authentic patch auto rookies are epic.

He has had a few full sigs in recent Panini products, and has had a few on card full signatures in 2010 Five Star. However, I believe that once the stickers are exhausted for both Topps and Panini, that's it. He wont have many more signatures until he either lowers his price, or gets inducted into the HOF. That is one of the only reasons I bought this card.

Love it! I for one applaud Gellman's pickiness when it comes to cards. He can be a little rough when it comes to Panini, but I can't help agree with him on the design aspect of the cards coming out today.

I sincerely wish more collectors would punish bad design by leaving it sit on the shelves. A lot of collectors think the patch on the card is more important than the way the card is designed, which is silly. Imagine how much better it would be if the patch was awesome AND the design was good too.

Understatement of the decade.

True I have some Pierre Thomas 1/1 autos but they all ran off sticker but being super collector I can't be picking I just want to find a drew brees for around $125 and doesn't run off

To be fair, 80%+ of Panini's product is garbage.

I think you are being a little conservative in terms of last year, but they have started off better in terms of design so far this year. Now if only they could get their products out in time...
