on Monday per my FB page. nice to see him have no harsh feelings towards SD and want to go out a Charger, but sad to see his time end. one of my all time favorites. time to show off those LT's if you got them.

i only wish i had loaded up on LT cards instead of Gates stuff. here's ESPN's article. 5th all time rusher and 3rdin total touchdowns. a first ballot HOF for sure.

Emmit had more td's. LT was a beast, I wish he could have had a better last 2 years

He was a joy to watch. I had season tickets for a few years when he was in his prime and he was mesmerizing. I still remember being at a game versus New England when he had such an amazing juke on his way to a long TD run.
His card prices absolutely plummeted in the last two years in a part time role which allowed me to pick up most of the main rookies I wanted. I just need to get his Topps Rookie Premiere Auto and a nice Contenders auto.

Great player and future HOF'er. Was lucky enough to pull the below two (patch/25 auto is 1/1!).

LT is one of the All Time Greats. It is fitting he is retiring as a Charger. Wow, the careers of NFL Running Backs keep getting shorter.

I 100% agree with this statement. I grew up watching Barry run and it was a beautiful thing to see. When LT came into the league he was dominant from day one. I know he has tailed off a bit in the twilight of his career and I believe that has hurt him a bit when people discuss the best RB's of all time. In my opinion you could make a case that LT is top 5 all time. Almost 14000 yards rushing, over 600 career catches, and 160 Td's are monster numbers in any era. He will be greatly missed.

One of the best all around RBs I've seen and for a couple years, unless you were a moron, almost guaranteed you a championship in fantasy football if you had the first overall pick. Kind of amazes me that the Chargers never reached the Super Bowl during his hey day but he's still a sure fire first ballot HOFer.
Sold off most of my Tomlinson stuff a few years back for top dollar but kept my three favorites for the PC. :D

I loved LT the second he became a member of my Jets. Sure, he will be remembered as a Charger, but he did some great things with the Jets as well. LT's just a class act. He always brought that energy to the team. I'm sad to see him go. I think he's still got something to prove!

I think the 3-4 yr. streak he went on and the 2 yr. streak Priest Holmes went on were two of the best streaks in NFL history. Archie Griffins 2 yr. streak in college was pretty good as well.

As a Chargers fan I am so pumped so see this, not him retire, but to see him sign and retire as a CHARGER. He is arguable one of the top 5 backs of all time, because of everything he could do. He could even be one of the last GREAT backs for some time. I like this move because it feels like it mends a somewhat shaky separation when he left. One of the greatest to play the game. #21.

Does anyone else think that the jersey swatch in his SPX rookie is not from the game they say it is from? Every example I have found features the home (blue) jersey instead of the away (white) jersey he should be wearing if it came from that game. Unless of course they were just highlighting his first game and not claiming the swatch came from it.

Great back and a first ballot HOF for sure. I think he is top 10 ALL TIME RB. I think that Emmitt, Barry, Jim Brown, Walter Payton and maybe OJ (people forget how awesome he was since all of the madness) were all just a little better.
I've got LT right at the top of the next tier with RBs like Faulk, Dorsett, Dickerson, Marcus Allen, etc.
Great career, no doubt.

Marking my calender as a Charger fan for 2017 for a trip to Ohio, to see 2 Charger greats enshrined into Canton just sad one of them will be posthumously.
There was a time around 2005-2006 were I honestly believed LT would break every rushing record there was before he was done. Unfortunately that injury in the 2006 Playoffs ended that, he was never really the same.
55&21 Headin to the Hall in 2017!! See ya there.

LT will always be one of my favorite Chargers of all time. He was the man both on and off the field. Always so humble and quick to give credit to his teammates even when he was dominating the league. Only regret is we didn't get him a championship.
