Alright, I am getting a case in the 700-800 or less range. Right now, I am deciding on Topps Chrome and Topps Strata, both at about 800. What do you guys think? Or is there an "other" that you say is better? Thanks for all the feedback in advance!

Strata is so different from the other products... At the same price as chrome, I'll take it. Already locked in a case.

Chrome without a doubt. Strata looks cool though to purchase at Lcs not purchase a whole case on preorder.

Well the poll speaks for itself. Chrome is king, and honestly you could buy 10 cases of Strata and probably not hit the Andrew Luck shadowbox you and everyone else is drooling over from the Strata preview pics.

You could argue that that's the issue with Chrome..... 12 DeVier Posey auto's, anyone?

But resale value is what tips it in Chrome's favor. Your 12 Posey chrome autos will outsell 12 Posey base Strata autos any day of the year.
I get what you're saying but that's the risk with any low-end case. But at least with chrome people love them, one auto per box or not.

Also, I'd like to point out that RG3, not Luck is the prize this year.

Who's the prize long term? Luck.

I thinks I've decided on a case of chrome and maybe a box or two of strata at release. I will DEFINITELY be buying singles of strata for Alshon Jeffery though. Thanks for all the feedback!

Chrome for sure. Strata, as with all new products, is a risk. With Chrome, you know that the base and colored refractors will have value that will offset risk. Who knows how much value the base and die cuts in strata will be valued at.
Better idea, buy singles! :flex:
