looks like pretty average release as with Prestige football every year
card designs look nice though

dont know about the checklist yet, but correct me if im wrong..did they forget this was not a football product?? same as with the UD Draft, in case i missed it there were only 2 Rounds in the Draft at 30 teams = 60 total draft picks correct?? how in the hell are there 100 Rookie cards in this product and why would they think collectors would like to get 40 possible autographs of people they never heard of...at least in football some later round guys actually make their teams and turn out good..but how often does that work in basketball??

If this turns out anything like 09 Prestige FB, I would strongly recommend buying a bottle of strong liquor, a pack of smokes, and a large bottle of lube...

In all fairness though... you could say the same thing about pretty much every mid-low end basketball product that Topps or Upper Deck have put out in the last 5 years. I think for a lower to mid range product, that Prestige looks fine. It will be interesting to see how they pull off a basketball product with 100 rookies though!?! I would actually love to see them try to include some college favorites that went undrafted... but considering there were only 60 picks in total, thats a lot of undrafted free agents! Although I suppose that will only help the bigger names sell better. Should be fun to see how they develop their product lines.

i like the look of the cards, but knowing that all the players i love collecting are topps and ud exclusives kinda' makes it sad for me to see. i don't doubt the effort and quality painini's putting out, but the players shown for their teaser pics just don't get me excited. if they could get duncan, pippen, and gnarles to sign it'd definitely get me hyped...don't get me wrong i am definitely going to bust some of this

I agree on the surface of this statement (although the football sets always include MANY undrafted free agents despite there being 200+ picks in the draft) but consider this list of undrafted free agents:

A.J. Abrams - Texas
Jeff Adrien - UConn
Dionte Christmas - Temple
Eric Devendorf - Syracuse
Paul Harris - Syracuse
Dominic James - Marquette
Jerel McNeal - Marquette
Jeremy Pargo - Gonzaga
Alex Ruoff - West Virginia
Luke Zeller - Notre Dame

Those are 10 names that would arguably outsell half the 2nd round picks of the draft because they were fan favorites at big schools or star players at mid-major schools.

Now with that said, that still only makes 70 rookies and thats assuming they can pull off all 60 draft picks (which is probably unlikely). So there will definitely have to be some absolute no names in the set to get up to 100. Now I'm very interested in seeing a checklist when its released!

Nice, I though they were not doing patches. Or better yet I heard they were not even making Jerseys or auto.

In my opinion A.J. Abrams - Texas was one of the top 3 players in the ncaa last year. he reminds me of Ben Gordon.

There might be some Euro guys coming over that were drafted in years past that haven't had cards yet.Maybe NBDL cards, like Topps Chrome a few years ago or celebs.
Then again there was like 60-70 guys who left school early,so maybe we'll see undrafted guys that have no team printed like in football.

Really? The same guy who couldn't hit the broad side of a barn when they played anybody decent?

I think he meant one of the top three players on his team.

As for the Prestige, I'll be getting some for sure.
