2011 contenders and limited are on sale for $600 off a case. Shows the pure quality and value.

they ruined limited baseball, probably one of the worst products of all time

I still don't think they are worth it at current prices.
I'd pay 70 a box for Contenders, and I wouldn't go over 50 for Limited...maybe.

i would say MLB ruined a lot of products by doing a deal exclusively with Topps

I definetly wouldn't say that. Those Panini products from the last two years (with the exception of Donruss EEE and Contenders) would most likely still be horrible. Mostly Prospect autos, with not much in the form of Veterans/Retired stuff, and if there is, its either impossible to get, or is in a product (Prime Cuts) that they initially priced at 250 a box.

LOL, no amount of licensing can fix the sh*t design that is Panini and their stupid foil board that they use for everything. No amount of Licensing can fix the fact that they are terrible with redemptions & customer service. Licensing has nothing to do with it.
Edit: I will say that redemptions are not entirely their fault, but certainly they play a role in them.

i think upperdeck and panini makes some nice stuff, especially football. not everything is great, but some are good. i would like to see upperdeck spx baseball with a MLB license . or some mlb panini gold standard baseball..i think more variety is great for us ,consumers.

Agreed, there are a few sets I would like to see in Baseball (Gold Standard is nice, SPx also) but I see what Panini is doing with Basketball products, and it scares me. Also Panini's MAPP on products for the first 60 days makes it too costly to buy any of their products for the first two months. I mean, Limited at 100? Everyone knows that was horrible pricing, same with Prime Cuts at 250
If they had a license, I would assume they would charge more. Can you imagine having a Tier One style product (most likely Limited) with logos, when they are charging 100 for an unlicensed product? They would probably charge 130-140, and I know no one is a buyer of Tier One at 130, and it was a pretty good product.

I"ve never bought a Panini product other than DEEE, and that's probably good from what I've heard, but DEEE is awesome. 6+ autos a box for the price and the autos hold pretty good value. I'm hoping they have a 2012 DEEE.
