In unrelated moves (aside from the team they are departing from) it looks like Shawn Marion has been traded to Dallas in a 3-team deal with also includes the Grizzlies. The Cavaliers have also signed free agents Anthony Parker and Anderson Varejao.

Anthony Parker will be a nice compliment to the rest of the team. He can pass, rebound, shoot and steal the basketball. He doesn't have to be a shooter either.

Ive watched him play down here in Det, and your making him sound like he is an all star. Well, he's not.

Well, he wasn't signed to be a starter let alone an All-Star. He is basically taking over Sasha Pavlovic's spot on the roster as the primary backup shooting guard. Sasha averaged 16 mpg and put up 4.6 points, 1.1 assists, 1.9 rebounds, and 0.3 steals per game. Not only will the Cavs be able to rely on Parker for more minutes (which allows West to stay fresh) he should be able to blow Sasha's statistical contributions out of the water.
Remember, this is the same team that had the NBA's best record last year, swept the first 3 rounds of the playoffs and the only changes to the roster have been:
Shaquille O'Neal for Ben Wallace
Anthony Parker for Sasha Pavlovic
The only other players the Cavaliers lost are end of the bench role players Joe Smith and Wally Szczerbiak, either of whom may still get resigned or at least get replaced.
The 2009-10 team should be better than the 2008-09 team. Is it enough to beat Orlando? Who knows. Orlando lost Turkoglu, Courtney Lee, Gortat and Rafer Alston and added Vince Carter. Not exactly an overall improvement. I think the East will come down to Boston and Cleveland again like it did in 08-09. We never really got to see either team at full strength against each other last year, and now both teams have improved themselves. Should be fun.

I didn't mean to imply that, but like mentioned, he's a solid upgrade from Sasha Pavlovic. A little inconsistent, but still...

Bit player at worst, role player at best. Need someone to pass the ball inbounds to Lebron. Maybe they can sign his sister, too.

And those are exactly the type of players Cleveland needs. The team already has a GREAT starting lineup and now also have a couple of backups that would be starters on most teams. The Cavs need to keep adding the role player supporting cast... preferably backups at PF and SF. The Cavaliers do not need Grant Hill, Shawn Marion, Jason Kidd, type players. We need Brandon Bass or Channing Frye types to fill in the holes and not ruin tje team financially.
