I have been in card collecting for awhile now. Most of what I have is newer within the past few years and mid 90s inserts etc. I need to come up with some funds to help with an engagement ring that I need to buy. My question is how to go about selling them? Pros and Cons on here vs ebay? Should I list as team lots or singles? If i have multiples on a card is it better sell single or group lot of that single card?

Here: Lowballers
Ebay: Fees
You decide.

Selling on here is very different from eBay. If you're making a "for sale" thread, you'll need to have reasonably low prices or highly sought after prospects and HOFers. Responding to "want to buy" threads, you'll be able to move stuff that won't otherwise sell on eBay. If you have a card with lower demand, eBay will get you the best price. Either way, good luck!

Ok so sounds like ebay is better. My question with that is shipping, how much cost is there actually into shipping a card. For example bubble mailer cost, sleeve, top loader etc. bc i see shipping ranging from .99 to 4 bucks for a single card.

charge 2.50, you make a few cents, yet if you sell a lot and it is a little heavier than 1 card, you wont lose money.

Buy bubble mailers in bulk on eBay. Don't pay more than .25 per bubble mailer. They can be had for .05 if you buy enough. I can hook you up with 70 for $16 if you only want a few. Otherwise, you can buy more in bulk on eBay. Toploaders and sleeves can be had for pennies through Blowout. Also, you save a lot of money by shipping via PayPal and you're better protected. I usually do free shipping and just charge more for the card, but its up to you which way to do it. If you charge over $3 for shipping, most buyers will give you a bad seller rating.

to pad what is mentioned above, it costs $1.64 to ship - up to 3 ounces, usually 1-3 cards in top loaders - with delivery confirmation if you print a label with paypal.
bubble mailers, sleeves, top loaders, team bags all are minimal costs in the grand scheme of things, and be sure to use them all when mailing a card, including some extra base cards, index cards, bubble wrap, or whatever to ensure the package is thick and well padded to survive interstate travel.
