I love seeing threads that showcase all of your best hits but I would like to see what everyone's favorite card is. I want you to post your favorite (not most valuable) card and tell why exactly its your favorite :D

I couldn't choose one so I chose three. i picked these three because I'm a die hard Yankees fan and I just love how the old timers played.

Kind of cheating here but I had a Blowout member make some custom cards for me to send to spring training. I sent to 7 players and Travis Snider was the only one that mailed them back. He was already my favourite before, but this really made me happy:

This was the first card that I pulled that got me into the hobby.

Everyone seems to post threads asking for your favorite card, and then post 5 of their own or something.

Remember looking at Becketts as a kid and always thought it would be cool to own one of those cards (1951 Topps Red/Blue Backs).

1980 Topps Rickey Henderson RC

It was the first year I collected cards, and he was a favorite. I have always liked the base stealers.

Kenny Lofton, and now Ben Revere. Revere will end up being a favorite since he plays for the Twins.

I will have to go with either the Rendon because me and my girlfriend pulled it. But I love the Trumbo because I bought it for $300 when no one was giving him any credit and thought he would be positionless.

My favorite baseball card was my Nolan Ryan '87 Topps that I have since it was pulled at Christmas '87. Now it has been replaced by a Mike Scott Fan Favorites auto. It is the '87 design and he was my favorite Astros as a kid. He was dominant for a few years and led the league in K's one year. I got it from a member on here for less than $10. I will post a pic when I get home.

Heres the story I posted on another site:

I was 10 years old and less than 25 games into the season the Blue Jays traded away my favorite player, Jesse Barfield (damn you Al Leiter), to the Yankees.
I needed to find a new player to follow that I could watch somewhat often even though I was in Toronto.

I remember going to the LCS a good while after the trade and they had packs of 1983 Topps for sale!
I don't remember the cost but out of those 3 packs I pulled a Ryne Sandberg RC that I though was a really cool looking card.

Low and behold WGN was one of the few US stations I got that actually showed a decent amount of games (wanna say maybe 2-3 a week at the time) and I now had a favorite player.

I wore # 23 on my teams (baseball and hockey), wrote 23 on my glove (even though I played 3rd), collected his cards going forward, and always wanted his autograph on the Topps RC I pulled.
My favorite card outside of the RC was the 1991 Topps with the horizontal pic that had the 40 HRs bolded on the back as league leader.

Anyways, I have never been able to get the RC autographed, but when I found this for sale I figured it was the next best thing:

http://i607.photobucket.com/albums/tt151/ChrisAbateMMA/Baseball/Sandberg2-1.jpg

2001 Topps Archives Autograph

They dont come up for sale often but when they do they dont come cheap. Actually comes in at the 4th most expensive card I have ever purchased.

Anyways I was pretty stoked when I received it yesterday and it is now my favorite card within my collection!

Thanks for reading.
