I'd be really curious to see how much money this guy has made selling these. Judging by the number of threads on this, HE IS FOOLING ABSOLUTELY NO ONE! Perhaps the title is a bit misleading, but the description is crystal clear. Power to him for his unique approach!

I actually disagree. He puts "Auto" in the title. If that's the case, I should put auto in the title of every bowman card that has a facsimile autograph and then just say it's not an auto in the description.

In my opinion, this is where he has gone wrong and dishonest.

I'm just going to start posting pictures and titles of very expensive cards and then in the description say that the auction is actually for a 1987 Donruss Chico Walker with a small crease and some wax staining. Because I'm such a great marketer and can just chalk it up to folks not reading the description, not that I'm a scumbag with no morals and am too lazy to earn my money and instead try to con people.

I like how he's actually getting positive feedback back from these sales.

Got a neutral too:
"Should of read description. Cut out. $78 gone for nothing good. My fault. "

Glad/somewhat surprised people acknowledge their own stupidity :p

I saw one of the positive feedbacks was "exactly as advertised" which leads me to believe these people know what they are bidding on (as outrageous as that sounds).

Imo i don't think he should be calling it a card in his description. it kinda is mis leading in that aspect

The guy who spent $178 for a Darvish box cut in a GU frame left him positive feedback? And he had an ebay rating over 3000. I smell shilling...

I sent this email to the buyer. We'll see if he responds:

"Hi, forgive me for bothering you but I have to ask. I see you spent $178 on a piece of cardboard cutout from a boxtop put into a frame that once held a game used Ginter card and I see you left positive feedback for the seller. You do realize he took an empty box and cut the picture out of the box and shoved into in a holder, right? You could have purchased a box of Ginter for $90 or so, cut out the Darvish yourself, and had all the cards too, right? You know despite saying "Auto" in the title, it was not an autographed card, right? Again, forgive the intrusion, but I just hate to see people taken advantage of and there is something real wrong with this."

I've only bought two boxes of this years ginter, and I'm starting to think that the box itself would yield more return then the contents. I threw the first one out, like an idiot and just as these advertisers say, but I still have the one with Mantle, Darvish, Federer, and Palmer on it, if anyone is interested.......or I might just cut them out myself and post an epic mailday thread!

you have to send us the response when you get it from this person...I cant imagine someone with over 3000 ebay rating could be so blind, but then again it appears you can sell 82 pounds of s$@! on ebay these days and get away with it...

I just heard back from the buyer. He said he didn't realize he messed up until after he left feedback.

Am I correct that he can file Not as Described because it says Autograph in the title and it's not? Seller says no refunds but we all know that isn't the case.

What advice can I give the buyer to help him get his money back?

Definitely tell him to call ebay (you can get a lot more done over the phone than through an email). I think I've heard of people getting a refund after they left feedback because they didn't realize the mistake until after.

Buyer emailed me back. They agreed to a refund of most of the money. I realize he could have gotten all of it, but it was his fault partially for not reading the auction. So all is well.
