Beware of UD Exquisite this year!!!!

I was at the the ECN today picking up a few baseball boxes, when I noticed a guy buying a box of this years exquisite basketball at $600 a box. With that kind of price tag I figured I would watch seeing as how I was thinking about maybe getting one myself (no way after what I saw). So the guy opens it up and gets 4 base cards!!!!! one being # to 50 and some scrub rookie patch auto.. They guy started to actually cry then he goes you know what let me get another ( I am thinking why man why). He opens it up and goes I cant believe this it is the same F****** box. He just broke down and started crying.. I felt so bad for the poor guy. Good luck to anyone who gives it a try. Hope you never have to go through that.

So got two of the same exact boxes back to back!

I opened two cases today and the only double I pulled was a Nash base /125.

Getting doubles in not a trend, so one time does not mean many times.

Very true it is just insane that upper deck would put the same junk box together twice in the same case

That sucks, but you should have bought the other box, it probably had a logoman in it. :eek: which guy did he buy it from?

Yes but prob 1 of the base is a rookie. Those rookies sell for pretty decent.

it is not better than years past, and 600 dollars you have a 1 in a 100 chance of getting money back. it is a huge rip off.

Selling it sealed will be your best chance at making a profit. Of course, it could be a Jordan box...Ooooooo, the temptation!!!

just posted it on ebay. i do have the fear from the buyer emailing me saying he pulled a jordan box or booklet card.

Yeah I saw those cards today.. They were insane very lucky guy..But still it is such a huge risk with this product.. 9 out of 10 times you will get burned

Yeah the show really wasnt all that great, but I was able to find all the cards I did want at pretty good prices. I guess it depends on what you went for. My fiance and I made a nice group of friends who gave us some great deals. I would give the show it self an F+ but an A to some of the dealers.. There really were some nice ones.
