This is all correct and confirmed. This, people, is why you always pay "GOODS".

doubt it highly, pretty sure he would have listed he had 2 available in the thread, not only that he signed off immediately after I asked the question after constant messages with him!!

Well, hopefully it works out for you. But the ones you dealt for may have already been "sold" a couple times.

I made a deal with this guy for a Cam Topps chrome auto. I asked for a dc# and he ignored me than gave me some grief about not being his dad and checking when he signs on and off. Have you guys opened a pp case yet?

not yet, will give the benefit of the doubt for a few days, already talked to paypal, and they said no matter what my money is safe. hate to be that guy, but need to look out for the community as well.
he did try telling me and obadger that he opens TONS of wax and just spent $1500 at his cardshop yesterday, but only had like 30 cards in his bucket.......so, I'll give it a week!!
yet another reason to block all the B/S/T forums from your "new posts" listing and not deal with any of the kiddies on here.

Sounded awful familiar when he wanted me to send him $1500 for $5000 in market of cards. I'm very glad I googled "Sony22 Sports Cards" and this thread came up.
He was supposed to sell me two cam newtons, everything in his bucket + more, and plenty of cards he couldn't scan.
I'm just going to pass... I brought this up to him and can't get the truth so I'm not going to bother... especially after he told me he uses his middle name for fear of using his first name even though he is the state prosecutor (of which none of the "middle" name he used in his claimed state of origin"

I also offered to have my friend who happens to be about 15 minutes away from this guy (I did a little dirty work) pick them up, cash in hand.
His excuse "I don't want to give them to someone that could damage them, now I need to take my kid to the hospital" (Yet he was willing to get these cards shipped before getting her to the hospital before I told him he should tend to his family)....
Sigh...
"Bearcat Sports Cards" - 15 years in the hobby - yet he "only had this phone number for 4 days". He lives in Ohio - I will not get more specific - you can find his phone # and do your own work on the bearcat website. Keep in mind I talked to this guy and he said he doesn't like online because children play games - yet when I offer to have someone pick them up locally cash in hand - he didn't have to pay for overnight shipping - he says "I wouldn't trust someone without payment" even though three times before that (and every time) I've said he would have cash in hand.
When a deal is too good to be true, it usually is. In this case... It is.
Also his name + phone # gives some X rated results online - it's kind of sad actually that he would use that # on his sports site and "F---BOOK" (Nope, not facebook)

I just filed my claim, there is no way the guy is legit, he had the swagger on selling as if he'd sold on forums before (veterans you know what I mean, when you get the newbies that haven't traded/sold) with his 0 feedback, I asked where he'd traded before, since he knew what he was doing, and he said he never had, just That he'd been in the hobby for a while....thats what threw up red flags for me!!
Already contacted IluvFish about this member, will give it a few days before I push this a bit further!!

When buying thru paypal I will always ask to be invoiced, or at the very least include the cards in the description of the money request. For some reason it seems logical as a buyer and a seller to do this/request an invoice. Both parties are protected as to what the purchase was for.
When selling I will always send an invoice.

Invoice doesn't matter when the guy is a scammer, he is using an unverified premier paypal account. Once the money is pulled from that account (can be done in minutes if he knows what he's doing) it can't be retrieved... It's better to just make sure you are dealing with someone who is legit in the first place even though it's hard to establish that... I got lucky that I came across this thread or I might be out a lot of money... And trust me - from someone who had to learn every in and out of paypal because I sold virtual goods - that "buyer protection" is a complete illusion... Back ALL payments with a CREDIT CARD or you truly aren't covered unless you feel like suing paypal. (Don't get me wrong, it works out most of the time but there are plenty of times it fails)
