What is the range value of this card. I know someone with one and just wanted to see what you guys think. Do you think this has good resale value to a Jerry West or Laker collector?
The card again is 09-10 Bowman 48 black boarder auto/48

$40-$50 imo.

That's what I was thinking too. Not much difference from the regular base auto despite the enormous difference in rarity.

I think $40 is my max.

I obsessively put together the Bowman 48 auto set a year or two ago and, since then, have continued to monitor their prices quite closely. I think the others are right; the black bordered autos out of /48 tend to sell for about 25%-50% above the standard white border prices, so $40-50 sounds about right. Maybe $60 at the most on a good day with the wind behind you.
Btw, the black bordered Bill Walton auto sale prices vary wildly. This is because the white border auto is one of the set's biggest short prints, so some collectors (including me) settled for the black border auto instead (since there are actually more of them). I've seen the black border autos of Bill Walton sell for anything from $15 to $100. The $15 one recently was a bargain.
The black borders are condition sensitive, so bear that in mind if you decide to buy one to re-sell.

Thanks. As I recall was Walton the only short print? Wasn't there someone else? Back when this product first came out I found guy moving a partial complete set of these with the Walton included. I obviously passed only to find out it was sp a month or so later.
Thanks again for the help guys. I'll think it over. If the price is right I might pick it up to keep PC or just break even if I decide to sell.

Btw, $15 is a bargain imo for a HOF player/48 considering the price of these boxes now.
The patch auto set is stunning as well. I remember seeing someone on the boards trying to complete the set. Don't remember who though. Wonder if it ever was finished.

That was probably me (see cards below).
By the way, the Bird is the other short printed card. I've owned 4 of them and sold two of those for $300 each.

That Dwight Howard auto/patch is sick. Nice card!

I definitely would have that west than the black border.
As for the Dwight... Just sick.

The white boarder bill Walton was sold at $200 at one point. Not sure now.

I think it would still sell for around that price. There are a lot of people still trying to put that set together who are missing either the Walton and/or the Bird.
