I check my mail and i got this:

"Hey there! Would you be willing to sell the Manning Finest RC for $100 + the shipping cost? Just checking since there is no best offer on the card."

The card is a 1998 bgs pristine 10 finest Peyton Manning.I am selling it for $130,which i think is a very fair price. So,i reply with this:

"Hey there! If you find any bgs pristine 10 Manning rookies for $100+shipping send me the link i will buy them asap:)"

When i email someone on ebay about a card,i mostly give them facts about the card. For example:You have been listing this card for 2-3 months now and no takers, and i will give me price $10-$15 lower than the asking.

Or if they have a way overpriced card,i will tell them that we all wanna make money, but there is not a snowball chance you will sell the card at that price.

I get a mixed answer to that, but its worth a shot.I got a $300 card for $250,and the person was asking for $450.Or the person just doesnt reply.

I dont think his email was that bad. I personally hate when I get smart a$$ responses from sellers/buyers when I send a message.

Yeah, they just have to say no thanks.

Seriously when the seller emails me back with a douche response like that I would never buy the card from him anyways. And yes I have sent some lowball offers to sellers and sometimes they take it and sometimes they counter. If you don't like it say no thanks and move on.

So, it's that big of a deal that you got an offer of $100 on a card listed at $130? If you haven't even gotten offers, doesn't sound like a lowball to me.

I lowball sometimes. Why? Because they accept it sometimes or counter with a great price.

If he had offered $50, that would have deserved a smart ass response. $100, a polite no maybe with a counteroffer of $115 or $120.

I complain a lot about lowball offers. But not when it's somewhat close. I just say yes or no. Now when someone offers me $1 delivered for a card, that's another story...

Congrats. You were still the rude one in this situation (and all the other ones you mentioned). A simple no thanks would suffice, its not like he offered you $5 to warrant a smart alec comment.

What a complete, classless, joke of a man that buyer was. Offers you $100 for a card listed at $130. And a BGS 10 Manning at that. Serves you right to mock him, and then make a thread about it. I mean hell, you made an extra $20 and got the joy of making a fool of yourself on this board. Winner winner.

not to mention if the guy offering $100 payed direct through paypal you'd save about $12 in fees.

So basically as it stands you made about $118 on the card and someone offered you $100.

Time to retire with that kind of profit!

LOL

I love the rude people on the bay. They go to the memory bank of people not to buy from, and you move on. OP, you sound like a turd.
