Sold a item on the 5th. Sold the item for lower than it should have probably sold because player got released not too long prior. Buyer pays and item was promptly shipped. Nothing was wrong with the card, as it was clean and all. Buyer emails today and says I want to return item. I say well you know I only accept returns within 14 days and you can't just return a item because you no longer want it. Am I pretty much screwed here or??

He can still file a paypal claim as "Item Not As Described" and force a refund after returning the card.

Actually, the buyer doesn't even have to return the card. I lost two claims this way, buyer filed an 'item not as described" claim and within two days got their money back. I never saw the cards. I hope things have changed, but I doubt it.

eBay is such a joke with all of this. Seller has no leeway or protection at all against scumbags like this. It is not like I will lose out on the card much if at all but ya know

They kicked me off eBay forever because I had one 4.8 DSR rating. It is a joke. You sell a card and pray nothing bad happens.

He said I shouldn't offer a return policy if I don't accept returns. I then said you already left feedback stating you were happy with item and 5 stars across. I accept returns as that makes me a top rated seller as well as a power seller and I get discounts

if you sold it for less than you should have, why not take it back and sell it for it's value now and make money on the deal?

This topic has been discussed hundreds of times on here. It does not matter if you have a return or refund policy. Buyer has 45 days to file a "item not as described" thru Paypal.Yes it sucks but thats the way it is. You lose this case 100% of the time. Just be happy you dont have to eat a negative with the refund. Wait until you get hit by a buyer who does not send the card back, gets a full refund and negs you on top of it. That is a special feeling. Or wait until you buy a card on here and 4 weeks go by and you ask the seller where your card is and he negs you bothering him.

Why does he want to return it? Make sure you send any correspondence thru ebay. Maybe he'll give a bad reason and ebay should side with you since it is past the 14 days.

Even though he left feedback stating he was happy with purchase, he just said he wasn't happy with purchase. Not a legit reason to return it. I have a feeling this clown will try and return a junk item that I didn't sell him and try to get a refund and keep the card.

Just call ebay and see what they say about it. I would think since it is past the 14 days they will side with you but I would get ahold of them and find out what they say.

I've had SEVERAL issues just like this over the past 3 months and I've placed a dozen calls to eBay to get issues resolved. Most of those calls we're useless. But..... I helpful employee gave me this bit of advice. Offer a return policy but include a restocking fee. He said eBay will honor up to a 25% restocking fee. This can be used to deter the dishonest buyer from making a buyers remorse claim.
