What is the best way to deal with guys who request refunds due to condition of cards ? I dont mind giving refund's if cards were damaged due to poor packaging or Due to postal error, but when a guy needs a refund because cards are not gem 10? what do you do?

make them return the card, then once you get it back refund the money...... there is nothing you can do about it, the ebay system works against you as a seller.

Did you put condition of the card in the description?

Really, there isint going to be anything you will be able to do because the buyer will be able to open a case. Just get the card back, issue a refund and move on.

Never do a partial refund always accept the card back. Scammers use partial refunding to get some money back when they want to get the card for cheaper then they ended up paying. Even if your ad never said anything about 10 Gem Mint fighting that is pointless. The only thing you can do is tell them you will accept the card back from the buyer but you must make them pay for shipping to you. Chances are likely they will just keep the card if you make them do that.

No, I never put the condition of cards...only because my opinion of a card that is mint is alot different then others...to me condition of a card is matter of opinion.

I am going through the same thing right now. In my my case, I believe they are requesting a refund because the prices have dropped, and they want to buy it from someone else cheaper. So I told them that they are going to have to put a claim in if they want a refund. I was told that Ebay will look at the buyers history and look at what current prices are when making their decision. Odds are that I will eventually have to refund the money, but atleast I'm going to try.

No, I never put the condition of cards...only because my opinion of a card that is mint is alot different then others...to me condition of a card is matter of opinion.Unless selling a graded card, it's always a good idea to list and probably under estimate the condition.
You can also list "as is" and no refunds. Of course, that will turn off a lot of potential buyers.
I've given in to the eBay 14 day return policy, but only if the buyer contacts me within 24-48 hours of receipt of the item.
eBay doesn't always support sellers, but I have had good luck when buyers wait before requesting refunds. The at least pretend to understand buyer's remorse.
Unfortunately, the buyer can file with Paypal who might disagree with you and eBay.

I feel the same way, but I always put the near mint/mint which is an 8 in beckett's grading scale even if the card looks better than that just so I won't get the idiotic emails of conditions from buyers.

I've had this problem with several buyers over the past few months and in addition to the advice given here something that may actually deter buyers from returning an item for a bs reason is to add a restocking fee.
eBay told me that they will honor up to a 25% restocking fee if it is part of your return policy. So I have a 14 day money back return policy with a 25% restocking fee. Obviously you would actually impose the fee if you felt the buyer was being dishonest about why they were returning the item.

Will eBay remove the negs if you charge them a 25% restocking fee?
