Since when is the Red worth anything near $4,000? :confused:

I was watching the Lebron 23/50 jersey numbered in June of 2011 and it sold somewhere in the $600-800 range.... can someone confirm? Or maybe you still have it saved in your ebay ended auctions? I would hate to pay the $14 fee to check for sure. It wasn't over $1000 I can confirm that right now. I was going to bid in the $300 range.... but in the last seconds it went to, i think $600 and change, but give 100 bucks or so.

Anybody have any ended sale auction links, or any price info at all?

If the jersey numbered 23/50 sold in the $600-800 range, how can a non jersey numbered go anywhere near $4,000? :confused:

Is this the case when a seller puts a crazy price "just because" another set is selling higher?

I think everyone is trying to capitalize off of Retro and that is what you are seeing with the pricing. The only one's not capitalizing are Panini; all recent Panini products have declined since Retro flooded the market. Makes me want Upper Deck back permanently, it helps control Panini's stupid MAPP pricing.

Trickle down effect. I stuck my durant pmg red from that year up and got some 800+ offers and ended up accepting 1000 but the guy didnt pay. That situation is unique as its durants only pmg whereas lebron is actually in retro....so i dont know.

08-09 "pmgs" are very tough on the eyes. ugly indeed

So there we have it, a GREEN/10 was sitting at $1,500 with no takers and the highest it got was $650, and now all of a sudden the seller smacks $13,000 BIN and thinks that must be the going rate since the Retro's are selling for "X" amount? hahaha...

If I witnessed the 23/50 jersey numbered selling on ebay for a little over $600 on June of 2011, how much could non jersey numbered jumped to, $4,000!?!?!?!?! LOL :D

Seller must take past sales into consideration when pricing a card, otherwise we'll have an ebay were all the cards will be priced at $100,000.00 with best offer option......... and that's the end of ebay.

I agree with you, and I don't consider these to be true PMG's even though that's what it says on the card.

Me personally, I don't think the card is all that ugly, and actually looks pretty to me, and wouldn't mind pairing it up with the Retro true(in my mind) PMG. There's a reason why the Lebron Red's from Retro are selling for more than the Skybox Red's...... collector's choose what they think to be the true PMG, and the prices speak for themselves.
