Just found this article on Beckett: Beckett News Panini appoints product development directors (http://www.beckett.com/news/2012/09/panini-america-appoints-three-product-development-directors/#comment-99368)
Hopefully this will have an impact on the crap that is coming out of Panini the last four years.

They had to appoint product directors?
Here's my free advice, and they only have to know this:
1. Sign Jordan and Lebron.
2. Buy Upper Deck.
The end.

HIRE ME, don't hire these chumps who wont change a thing.
Hire true hobbyists, collectors ... people who REALLY *KNOW* the hobby ...
I don't get these companies, it seems like at least 50% of employees of these card companies don't even collect or know the hobby?!

they hire people who know business models and stuff like that not hobbyists. which i find weird cuz who knows better then the consumer? lol hope the products take out jerseys as hits. only patches as hits. way better imo. insert jersey cards into rack packs or something or add it to retail.

They hire people that make money. Simple is that. You can have the best ideas in world but if it affects their bottom line then you can forget about it.
Maybe these people will not "make" the money but they will spend less and get more out of the budget.

Yea just sign Lebron james. JOrdan woudlnt' want to sign but dont' really NEED him. But if they can just sign leborn james, then game over Upper deck. ALl they'd be able to produce is HOF products which will get old eventually.

Two of the supposedly new appointed development directors have been with the company for years so I don't see them REALLY making an effort to change things. Its all talk to try to gain believers but the crap they put out will still be the same.
