"The Barclays Center and Islanders will announce the relocation of the NHL franchise Wednesday afternoon to the $1 billion arena on the corner of Flatbush & Atlantic Avenues. Attending the presser will be Islanders owner Charles Wang, NHL commissioner Gary Bettman, Barclays Center owner Bruce Ratner and Mayor Michael Bloomberg."

Get your fat-@$$ back at the negotiating table where it belongs rather than stroking that Wang.

[Love how the link at the bottom of the article has "Buy Hockey Tickets"]

Great, now they can fill 9000 seats a night in a decent building.

Seriously, just move the damn team to Quebec already. This is getting ridiculous.

Seriously that would be sweet to bring back the nordiques. I went to thrashers game a couple years ago while I was in Atlanta and holy crap talk about nobody at the stadium and more than half were sabres fans hahaha it was pretty bad.

They left me. When I go home to see my Mom and my relatives, I can catch a game. I'm not going to Brooklyn. I've lived in the Philly burbs for 7 years now, my kids root for the Flyers... screw it.

That is actually one of my favorite hockey logos ever. That and the first coyotes logo and the mighty ducks

The move to Brooklyn will hopefully attract free agents because we have learned that no one wants to play on Long Island. Charles Wang did what he had to do to keep the Isles in NY. I wonder when the county will raise taxes to offset the revenue loss...........

This is my favorite hockey logo as well. Im a Bruins fan, but for some reason, I have this strange natural attraction to the Islanders.

I even went out to catch a game on the Island for my birthday and got to meet a few players.
