What is even more shocking is that 4 of the 5 loses are to the packers. Week 17, NFC championship, Week 3 2011, Week 2 2012

All of those games were won by the almighty Bears D. Jay Cutler is one of the worst starting QB's in the league and is probably the biggest crybaby.

I'm a cutler fan and a bears fan.I think the Bears have a great chance to make it to SB if they can the home field advantage.ATL will slide few games [Watch out for the cowboys this weekend], SF is great everywhere except the most important position so that's a bit shaky and traveling to Seattle will be tough.Bears will beat the packs at home in Dec.
Eli and the G man are always tough.
But I like the Bears chances to make it to the SB this year,Defense is great and if Cutler has time to throw he has to be mentioned as one of the top QBs :p

I cant do this late season games anymore. I was at the nfc championship vs the giants in 2007 and a few december games in 2009,2010 and 2011. I swear on my life my pants froze to the bleachers and ripped off when i tried to get up.

Bears were my pre-season pick for the NFC reps at the superbowl this year. Just a very solid team on both sides of the ball, but it's going to be tough getting past the Packers and/or Niners this year. Home field will play a HUGE part.

I agree and I have no faith in ATL to win even at home during the playoffs.
I think it comes down to Bears,Packers,Niners and Giants.
Lions have all the attributes to be great but they are not,
I always thought of them as young dallas team from the 90's before they were winning the super bowls, only thing Lions were missing was a RB last year but this year they just suck

2011- Giants win at lambeau Giants win at Candlestick
2010 Packers win at eagles, falcons and bears.

I agree with what you're saying, but I was implying home field for the Bears. I really think if they play on the road on the way to the bowl their chances will be bleak, especially against experienced teams like the Giants and Packers. Soldier field is a pretty tough place to play in the deep of winter.

I don't have the numbers in front of me but I remember the NFL on FOX crew referencing this last week.

Even as a Bears fan I don't think the Bears can make it to the SB playing on the road but playing at home as you mentioned, teams like SF will struggle in solider field in Jan, when it's cold and icy!!!

Exactly, if SF makes it that far and they have to play in Soldier Field...done deal :)!
