I don't care for Alabama, mainly because of how many I know who have hopped right on the bandwagon, but also because I would want to see somebody else play in the national championship game besides and SEC team. LSU had it right there.

Just FYI, LSU would have played in the National Championship if they had won. LSU and Alabama are both rewarded one mulligan, and rightfully so in my opinion. They have to play each other every year for crying out loud.

Absolutely. Two opposite philosophies across the board.

They let Alabama walk right down the field, gave up the 12 yarder outside. Seems like they also stole the Gophers playbook, although dumpoffs to the RB rather than QB draws if the clock isn't in your favor.

Saban and a month to prepare for any offense isn't good though. Saban is a defensive guru.

I'm a LSU fan and now that LSU is clearly out of National Title contention; I want to see Oregon vs. Kansas State.

I can't believe LSU was sooooo close and then the defense gets shelled in less than 2 minutes.

Man, I feel for you, Miles has had some terrible runs in the last minute or two in games, stupid prevent D...........

They were playing prevent D like they up by 4 and just trying to keep them out of the end zone, my grandma could have completed those passes with how wide open LSU left Alabama's receivers!

I really was hoping Bama would finally lose!

I wasn't born in Ohio. I was born in Shreveport. I guess I'll have to move since I don't like Ohio State.

Les Miles lost the game for them. Poor decision after poor decision. I am an ND fan so obviously I was watching closely as this game was our only clear path to a title game, but for almost losing to Pitt I can say I'm just grateful to still be in the hunt.

The truth is, I don't think ND deserves a shot at the National Championship. Maybe it's just me, but I have not been overly impressed with them in any game except the Oklahoma one. There could very well be 5 undefeated major teams this year (Bama, KSU, Oregon, ND, Louisville) but knowing how college football works we'll be lucky to get 2.

LSU's defensive coordinator lost this game IMO..... They played WAY off the WR's on that last drive to prevent a TD and force a FG at worst they hoped. Alabama straight tore them up playing like that. I know different situations call for different playstyles but if your Defense held Alabama to 14 points through 58 minutes, Why change it up SO much in the last 2 minutes?

I wouldn't mind seeing Alabama vs. Oregon.

Oregons offense looked great tonight but there defense can't keep banking on there offense to put up that many points, especially if they do end up playing Alabama.....

Notre Dame is not as flashy as the other 4 teams you mentioned which is why they get overlooked. Defensively they have been outstanding though. Oregon, Louisville, and Kansas State have all given up nearly double the points that ND has but they also score quite a bit more so they look more impressive. A 62-51 win over USC looks good on paper for Oregon. If ND beats USC 10-6 people would say it was a boring game and that ND almost lost. In tough decisions (let's say there are four undefeated teams by the end of the season), I would give the nod to the 2 best defenses but that is just me.

I'm not talking about flashy. I've watched ND a lot, and they just don't look as good as those other teams. The talent level is very good, but not great.

Just be glad that all of your teams are bowl eligible. :(

12-0 would still be nice though...

im sorry..but did you just count Louisville as a major team?

There's a reason why they are undefeated...yet only #10 in the BCS poll.

the Big East is more like the Big Least...

Louisville's biggest wins are against a 4th in the ACC UNC, and a dead last in the SEC KY.

Did anyone else read about the connection between the LSU/BAMA game and the Presidential Election?

Since 1980, every time the game has been played during an election year, when LSU wins, the republican wins, and when Alabama wins, the democrat wins (and the incumbent this year just happens to have a name that ends in BAMA. lol)

Not trying to stir up politics just another one of those random statistics.

I want to be a fly on the wall of the coaches/referee pre game meeting if Bama and Oregon meet lol
