Why does everyone think the 2012 draft is weak?

I keep reading how this draft is so weak. Compared to which draft? Luck has lived up to and surpassed his hype. RG3 has been red hot and consistently sold at Luck prices if not higher. Tannehill performing much better then expected. Russell Wilson takes over in pre-season and never looks back. Trent Richardson has looked great when healthy on a bad team, plus Doug Martin has skyrocketed in the last 2 weeks. Receiver the only dissapointing position as far as a breakout player yet, but several are starting to come into their own and might just make some hobby noise yet. Would you rather have a case of football from this year or last of your favorite product?

I'm biased and would gladly take a case of my favorite product, but for raw prospective purposes, this class is pretty solid.

Yeah I didn't see that either. If anything it's pretty solid compared to other recent classes.

I think early on some thought it looked weak because there wasn't much beyond Griffin and Luck to get excited about. That point is obviously now moot and one could argue that this draft class is one of the best with so many becoming starters in their rookie year and having early success.

Ive heard of the 2013 class being weak, but from what I remember 2012 was one of the most hyped classes in recent memory.

agreed compared to where everyone was supposed to be, this class is much weaker than expected. I personally still think this class is weak......rg3 is going downhill fast, luck lives up, doug martin is starting to look good, t rich plays for the browns, wilson really isn't doing much anymore, so all you are left with is

rg3 to an extent,
tannehill to a great extent,
t rich who is worth 1/10th of what he started at
after that its all scrubs, guys who barely make the roster on a good team!!

Ok, I think AJ Green, Julio Jones, and Randall Cobb are solid long term. Also, Von Miller and Aldon Smith. But the QB's from this class continue to take down turns I believe and aren't quarterbacks what drive any product?

What about week 7? :)! He hasn't gotten better every game. His only "good" game was against the Pats, which isn't saying much considering their great passing defense. :rolleyes:

let's see how it plays out long term. 2011 for sure has more impact type players across the board and is much deeper.
both 2011 & 2012 have great possibilities for some real hobby love down the road:)!

Aight I'll answer your last post now? Yes 49er's have a great defense that doesn't change that Wilson played horrible. Doesn't really matter if any other Rookie QB's had faced the 49er's yet. No one said you were claiming Wilson was Elite. Is this Aight man? :confused: :)!
