Got a triple threads box for 140 on ebay. Much cheaper then I thought I would get.
But I was disappointed in the box even though I love the look of the cards.
Maybe Pineda and Duffy will make the All Star game this year.

Ebay boxes are often weighed/searched, and people know this, so they stay away, hence the great price. There are also people who get great deals on ebay and pull amazing cards. But hey, there are thousands of people who payed over $200 for a much worse box of this stuff, so consider yourself fortunate.

So, you buy directly from the card company? Seems like the only people you can trust for sure.

thanks for the info. im still a beginner at this. makes sense though. Anything with one of those booklets probably wont be sold.

Any way to tell for sure if it has been searched?

Personally I think you did alright & you got all the hits you are suppose to. It was a little cheaper but the seller probably got a case, opened a few boxes & sold the rest. BO has TTT right now for $175 down from around $200 so you saved. Not all boxes from eBay are bad, weighed or searched like some may think.

Always look for the Topps blue word on the cellophane or cello wrap.

No way to be sure, it is just wise to buy from reputable trusted sellers. Your box may well have not been searched, and there are some really nice cards in TTT that would be unsearchable. Any product with "case hits" are liable to be searched though.

Im dont think my box was searched but who knows for sure? The guy I got it from had great feedback and I'm pretty sure he owns a hobby shop.

Im new here and I never even realized till now that Blowout actually sells. How dumb feel right now...

Your box is probably not searched by itself but it can be from a case someone already pulled the case hit from. That makes it impossible to get the case hit. that's why it's hard to buy boxes on ebay. You'll never know.

If I'm not mistaken I remember some years back an article mentioning dealers/sellers weighing the boxes and that the companies got smarter and either added or took away "decoy" cards to make sure every box weighed the same...I could be wrong but would be an interesting experiment from a sealed case of case "hits' that have booklets or other thicker cards.

Nah, to some products, it can still be done easily.
