Ok new one...what do I do?

I bought this card on here from a member when Inception came out and sold it on ebay for a small profit. Buyer pays via paypal on August 26th. That was 78 days ago. Here is the card in question

Nick Foles 2012 Topps Inception Gold Ink Rookie Auto Patch 'D 25 Eagles QB RC | eBay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290757302166&ssPageName=ADME:X:AAQ:US:1123)

Today I get an item is not as described message from this buyer who says

"the card doesn't have a patch ...the hole is empty"

Ok so what do I do with this? The guy doesn't say anything to me like this when he received the card, the picture clearly shows a white patch and wasn't an empty hole when I sold it to him and I'm guessing that if there is a hole in that card now it's because he tried to replace the patch on it. What do I do with this?

I believe if it is over 45 days, the buyer can't do anything to you - so you are completely in the clear. As long as you know you are being honest, don't sweat it. You can look up the buyers rights on Ebay to verify the 45 day thing....

Pretty sure nothing can be done, the 45 days is expired. I think you are all set, and obviously don't do anything about it because he had plenty of time to tell you about this "problem". I mean if he can still open a case and all that, than PP/eBay has major issues, but don't think they can.

Like others have said, I don't think he can do anything after 78 days (can you even leave feedback after that long?).

Not sure if you guys are implying he's telling the truth but that's a white patch, you can see the lines in the upper right hand corner of the patch, and I got that from someone on here. It's not missing a patch unless that buyer took it out himself

He is outside of 45 days so no valid claim. I would contact eBay about the message.

There are many a shady buyer out there - I've had a guy claim to not receive a $150 package, even though DC marked it as delivered. He called me all sorts of choice words for not using SC, saying I did the bare minimum. Filed a claim against me. The item in question was unopened Bowman blue wave packs. I looked at his feedback - 35 at the time, with 2 negatives. The best part? All built off selling hot packs - classy guy. About a month after I won the case, he was offering Bowman blue wave hot packs for sale. Some ppl are shady a$$holes.....sounds like this is one of those types.

sorry, I'm not calling you a liar but it looks empty to me. If you say there's a patch there, I can only assume he screwed up the card trying to fake the patch and now wants his money back. But it's too late

I was going to say the same thing but if he just now noticed it thats his fault i guess unless you said it has a patch

Unless he payed by CC and that CC allows him 90+ days to file a chargeback there is nothing you should be worried about.

45 days to file a claim and 60 days to leave feedback.

"If I say"....I'm glad others can clearly see that there isn't a hole in the card like that buyer said otherwise I'd be worried about this forum melting down on me and him winning a case. The patch was/is/will always be all white so not the easiest to see in the scan. If you want to look for it you can clearly see it's there by the lines in the jersey piece in the right upper corner. Besides say there wasn't a patch there....and there was a hole in the card which there isn't but hypothetically speaking...wouldn't you see a shadow in the patch box window from the edges of the side of the opening from the scanner the same way you see shadows when you have thicker cards on the sides of scans where the hole was supposed to be from the scanner? I'm not sure but I would think so. The "hole" story seems very far fetched and unbelievable and it helps that I know what I sold. Notice my feedback everyone, member since 2002, 100% feedback. I wouldn't do anything like that

It doesn't look like a stitched patch in there, but maybe one of the painted on ones? Not sure why they would use those, but you never know

I bought that card from a member on here and on Sports Card Forums. The card had a white patch and the scan sucks showing the patch. I bought that card from gowifb and got the card I think for like $30 bucks from him. Here is his feedback:

He's a great member and didn't sell me a card with no patch. Maybe he has a better picture of it still and I will pm him about this thread to weigh in on this. This I got this photo from my Gone bucket and is the only one I have

I actually see brown on the white that's a plain ass patch but a patch nonetheless. You're golden. The buyer screwed with it trying to fake it. Have the buyers ID?

After seeing that, the buyer is a liar that is just a different type of patch. Tell him to touch the patch then he will feel it is real.

So they put painted patches on the foles, now it makes sense. The Buyer is looking for a cloth piece.

Wow I cant believe someone is filing a claim this far after the auction ended. did he check the card for the first time after 2 1/2 months? Like others have said he is probably trying to get his money back because he tried messing with it. Either that or he is realizing he overpaid and is going to try to get the money back that way. The picture clearly shows dirt spots on the patch. Also, if you look at the right side of the patch, there is a small gap where topps didnt put it all the way to the right. there is the white patch, then the black background, then the black border. And yes, this card did have a patch when I pulled it. It sucked but it was all white when most are 2 color

Seems to me like the buyer tried to fake the card, messed up and then tried to say there was no jersey in there. D**k move on the buyers part. You should be in the clear though

Tell this buyer to kiss a dick, quit faking patches to try to defraud other people.
