why are people selling his 12-13 autos as "rookies" he played in every game last year?

I know it was a shortened season but it was still a "Season" wouldnt 11-12 be his rookie cards?

They didn't make NBA cards for that rookie year. This year they are combining both classes.

Some of the 2nd year rookies have cards that were issued of them by UD, SI Kids etc in 11/12. However the panini 12/13 cards are their first officially liscenced nba cards so they would still be considered their rookie cards/
