If you had a Finest card graded BGS 9 with the following subgrades Centering 9.5, Corners 9.5, Edges, 9.5 Surface 8 Would you crack it and remove the protective coating and re-submit it for a possible 9.5 or just leave it slabbed?

You run the risk of negatively affecting the condition of the card...first by cracking it out of that tomb then removing the film. Are you ok with potentially getting an overall lower grade but maybe a better appearance without the protective coating???

First of all, If its 9.5 9.5 9.5 8, that is a BGS 8.5 not a 9, BGS screwed up the grade.

I believe BGS does sometimes go a full grade above. If it's a PC then you might damage it by trying to break it open. I have busted some cards out of BGS cases before and its not too difficult. But if you're re-selling then maybe you could try for the better grade. Good Luck!
