Hey guys,

I know a lot of cards are worth a lot more money than signed stuff you get in person but there is something that I find cool about getting the signature yourself. I wanted to share some of my autographs that I have gotten in person from players from going to games and all star events and stuff like that. Also wanted to see what others have gotten as well. If anyone has any in person LeBron, Kobe, MJ or any other player stories that they want to share? Got LeBron to sign a ball during his rookie year and he has totally ignored my autograph requests ever since then haha. Durant/Duncan/Rose have always been super nice and Ewing/KG/Rasheed have always been very unfriendly. Anyways, here is some of my stuff. Thanks for looking.

Very nice! I am actually pretty surprised that Charles Barkley signed your magazine, as I have heard numerous times that he generally doesn't like to sign anything that shows his face on it. I am also surprised that KD35 is nice at signing autographs even though he has an exclusive contract with Panini - I mean that he is even nicer than I could think of!
Furthermore, it seems that some players' IP autographs ("abbreviated" versions?) actually differ from their certified card counterparts (full signatures?), e.g. Carmelo Anthony.

Anyway, I don't have much luck about this, as I don't go to arenas very often. Even when I go, my seat isn't close enough to the visitor team's entrance.
My only IP autograph experiences were during the NBA draft when it was host at the Theater inside MSG. I got Ben Gordon and Jared Jeffries to sign on my white board at that time shortly after they were drafted by their respective teams (Bulls and Wizards). I also got a few veterans' autographs as well at there.

I haven't busted any box/case these days....once I start doing this again, maybe I should start collecting TTM along with occasional IP (if I have luck).

Oh, where did you get the ball(s) signed by Michael Jordan, Karl Malone, and other old-school players?
I also like the photo that Kareem Abdul-Jabbar signed his first name instead. Haha~

Thanks! Yeah it is fun to get the in person stuff. All the KD stuff I got was before last year so maybe he wasn't under contract with Panini at the time? Yeah, Melo's in person auto is horrible haha, I wish he would spend more time with it. Good luck though getting autos!

Haha thanks, yeah I think Kareem was just lazy or something that day, kinda unique. Most of the legends I get during laker playoff games. Usually when they go deeper in the playoffs lots of the old school guys go

He's a very nice guy, and surprisingly soft spoken(compared to the way he plays).

If you ever get a chance to talk with Cousins, do it. He's absolutely hilarious and pretty much the exact opposite of what you'd expect. Call him "Boogie" and he will stop and sign.

Haha Ill definitely try that, I think I have a Sports Illustrated of him that I wanna get signed just haven't had a chance yet. I feel like he's gonna be a beast down the road

After looking through your bucket, I am convinced that your last name has to be Buss. Great collection!

I am an IP autograph junkie. I try to hit up as many weekend hawks/dream (and plan on starting the braves this summer) games that I can afford to get as many autos from players/coaches/broadcasters that I can. I don't drink/smoke/do drugs or gamble so autographing is my vice.

KD35 was under contract with Upper Deck before switching to Panini.
Either way, next season when the Thunder team visits Nets, I will definitely try my hands on getting one from him!

Speaking of abbreviated version and full signatures, Kobe Bryant comes to my mind. Whenever he signs for fans (rarely these days), he usually (if not all the time) signs "Kobe" or even just "KB" instead of his full autograph. If anyone here got Kobe sign his full name IP, let us know please~! :)

I think you have a really good shot at KD if you go really early to the game. That's interesting about Kobe's in person auto. Never been able to get his signature. Yeah, if anyone has any please show haha

Doesn't surprise me about Garnett. Many say he's turned into a real d1ck over the years.
