1. Megatron
2. AP
3. Lynch
4. Willis
5. Woodley? Revis?

Joe Thomas would still be a top 3 pick. Revis goes before Lynch and Willis if health isn't an issue.

Are you asking about the ranking of the players or who the teams should've drafted?

Bradshaw was a 7th round pick...I'm sure he would go higher than that now.

Lynch does not go that high, and AP goes over Megatron. Also, Thomas still goes 3rd, and Revis 4th.

I agree Megatron should be over AP. Don't get me wrong, AP is the best as it gets, but if we're looking back on retrospect, he's missed a ton of games due to injury. And Calvin has been as dependable/consistent as it gets.

6 in nearly 6 years is a ton? I do not think anyone would take a player because he missed 2 more games in 6 years than another player.

No love for Woodley in the top 5? I agree with Thomas btw.

Well the Raiders would have chosen Calvin and then the Lions would probably have taken AP

so your all saying that jamarcus russell..brady quinn or trent edwards wouldn't crack the top 5?! that might be the worst draft class for qb ever!

I think Eric Weddle would be a significantly higher selection that a 2nd rounder. Guy has been a very strong defensive back - 2x All Pro.

Yup, Matt Millen was the CEO and President of the Lions!! He wouldn't have drafted Peterson nor Joe Thomas!

Peterson would be drafted before Johnson. End of story

JaMarcus Russell would have been an undrafted free agent brought in to an arena league team for a tryout and eventual hiring as a concessions worker, soon to be fired for eating all the cheese for the nachos. Not the nachos themselves, just the cheese.
If Calvin Johnson were gone, Millen would have drafted Ted Ginn Jr. #2 overall to the Lions, even knowing what we know now.

Pick one - Raiders - Calvin Johnson - No way al davis would pass on his talents
Pick two - Lions - Adrian peterson - Although they loose out on megatron all day adrian peterson offers a stabilizing presence with his running game
pick three - browns - darrel revis - revis has become one of the best cover corners in the game, it was hard not taking joe thomas because he has become a cornerstone of that offensive line, but revis has stood out as one of the best defensive players in the game when healthy
pick four - Bucs - Patrick Willis - Willis would solidify the interior linebacker core for years to come, safe pick
pick five - Cardinals - Joe Thomas - They didnt get it right with levi brown, but they get joe thomas this time around to help out that o-line
pick six - Redskins - Lawrence Timmons - Keep in mind Portis was still here, so marshawn lynch would have not been a good pick
pick seven - vikings - Marshawn Lynch - so they lose ap, at least they get a starting RB to replace him
pick eight - falcons - Lamaar Woodley - Get the pash rusher they couldnt with jamaal anderson
pick nine - Dolphins - Jon Beason - Again another good safe pick beason was a solid linebacker and could be a good fixture on the dolphins defensive front 7
pick ten - Texans - Dwayne Bowe - only to be opposite Andre Johnson, see what that tandem would be like
Pick 11 - Niners - Joe Staley - they lose patrick willis but able to keep another fixture of theres
pick 12 - bills - Leon Hall - I like leon, I don't like the bills corner core, then or now, so hall becomes a good fixture there
pick 13 - Rams - Ben Grubbs - Rams need someone in their interior line - grubbs would have fit the mold even if he has fallen off lately.
pick 14 - Jets - David Harris - or however its spelled, would be another safe pick, they lose on revis, but at the time did need a middle linebackers (no need for bart scott if we did)
pick 15 - Steelers - Dashon Goldston - They lost their two best picks, take the best player available with this saftey although wasnt a pressing need at the time
Pick 16 - Packers - Ryan Kalil - Best player available, packers have had issues with their o-line up to this point
Pick 17 - Broncos - Paul Solali - De tackle is always pressing, Solali adds to bronocos depth significantly
Pick 18 - Bengals - Michael Bush - Bush in my opinion best running back left on board, and this was a peroid where in my opinion the Bengals could of used a running back
Pick 19 - Titans - Sidney Rice - Lets face it the titans wr core has always been week
pick 20 - Giants - Laron Landry - Landry Falls out of the top 5 but remains in first round, giants havent been particularly great
Pick 21 - Jags - Brandon Merriweather - Saftey was a huge need at the time when they picked nelson, Merriweather had a couple really good seasons with the pats, would of taken landry if not for giants snagging him
pick 22 - Browns - Kevin Kolb - Kolb in my opinion is better then quinn/jamarcus, not by much, but the browns have no qb option at the time and need somebody so here they go
pick 23 - Chiefs - Eric Weddle - They really need a wide out, but talent wise not the best available (anthony gonzalez, james jones) so they go for best available and saftey with this class was pretty strong, add weddle
Pick 24 - Patriots - Paul Pulz - pats take best available as they usually do
Pick 25 - Panthers - Brady Quinn - Quinn I think always had the potential but learning for a game manager like jake delhomme could have jumpstarted his career better
pick 26 - Cowboys - Aaron Ross - Ross is a decent corner, cowboys have lacked depth there at the time, so pretty easy pick
pick 27 - Saints - Robert Meachem - A team with same pick, worked out well for them
pick 28 - Niners - Matt Moore - Alex Smith didn't seem so successful at this point, Moore may have pushed him a little more
Pick 29 - Ravens - Jermon Bushrod - Would like to see if bushrod could of been moved to a interier line position although doubtful at very least adds some depth at the o-line
Pick 30 - Chargers - Gaines Adams - RIP, you saw bits of his potential in the first 2 years but he would be very hit or miss in my opinion
Pick 31 - Bears - Greg Olson - They needed a tight end, they made the right choice
Pick 32 - Colts - Zach miller - tight ends roll off the boards, dallas clark/miller combo for manning, they start the trend of the two tight end sets early

He really only had 1 terrible year. 2 1000+ yard seasons to start, 450 the next year with less then half the carries then a 4 game season

It's actually a really weak QB draft, yet the Best RB and the Best WR in the league were in the same draft.. I think you can make arguments for both megantron and AP going #1, and whoever you took would be the wrong answer.

I would more like to see where JaMarcus Russell ends up in this draft. Do teams take a chance on him hoping he can stay out of trouble - maybe a 6th or 7th rounder in New England or Green Bay? Is it unthinkable that a number one pick from that year would go undrafted?

Yeah Adrian Peterson would have been #1 overall. They drafted McFadden just a year later.

You can make the argument that the leagues best RB, best WR, best LT, best CB (when healthy), and maybe the best MLB all came out of this draft.

You also have to put Charles Johnson, Paul Soliai, Kalil, Michael Bush and Sidney Rice in the first round and maybe even Pierre Thomas, who was undrafted.

I'll admit I wanted to Miami to take Brady Quinn here. :o
2001 - But also wanted Drew Brees in 01. And again in 06 through free agency over Culpepper because Culpepper cost a 2nd round pick where Drew was strictly a FA.
2005 - Wanted either Rodgers or Smith in 05 whichever QB the 49ers didnt take which would have been Rodgers.
2008 - Matt Ryan over Jake Long as we still needed a franchise QB.
2009 - Hakeem Nicks still needed a #1 WR
2010 - Earl Thomas as FS was a huge need
2011 - I liked the Mike Pouncey pick :)!
2012 - Finally took a QB!
I should be GM over Jeff Ireland

So is it safe to say that Titus Young is that little bitch, Starscream? Always trying to usurp power from the big boys and always landing flat on his ass, whining like a child who just had his pacifier taken from him.

If he doesn't go to an unstable team like the Raiders, I think he is at least a serviceable back up.
