About to send about 10 cards into BGS for the first time ever. I know to have the package insured and all that good stuff. I have also heard if I contact them and ask if they have any deals going on that they might give me a "first timer" deal or something like that.
My question for you guys is, how do you send your cards in? What I mean by that is do you send them individually in toploaders and sleeves? If not what do you do?
Thanks I appreciate it! Also if there is any other rookie BGS advice you have I'm always looking to learn. Thanks again

It's pretty simple, you can send in anything you really want, but you won't get anything back. I normally send in old/taped/marked on toploads or a semi-rigid similar to what they do Raw Card Reviews. They can be taped to ensure cards don't slip out. These are the cheapest options, one-touch cases get expensive if you send in 100 of them. I normally turn cards to them in person when they come to town, but I would say a flat rate shipping box from the post office is fine if the cards are packed with bubble wrap so they don't bounce around, or if you want to save a few bucks you could send top loaded in a padded envelope you could get away with that also. You can insure, usually signature confirmation is adequate with the USPS and properly sealed shipping boxes, USPS insurance is somewhat of a misnomer, mostly what they mean is they will cover the insured value if it's not delivered, but you have to be able to prove beyond doubt that the PO damaged anything inside the package if it actually gets delivered and is damaged in between sending and delivery.

They prefer you have your cards in card savers. They don't move around that way.

Beckett usually has an introductory offer for first-time customers, call them first and they'll help you set up your account and discount.
Just like ajw and blastman already stated, use either toploaders or cardsavers to send your cards.
Good luck with your grading..

Buy yourself a loop and check your cards before you send them in. Naked eye is impossible to view most faults.
Use Fedex, too many cards are stolen via USPS and UPS.
Pack well, make sure the cards aren't moving at all. Fill out the form and triple check it.
Follow up on the delivery, usually 2 days after it shows delivered.
Slip $20 for the grader for every 0.5 you want in addition to the actual grade of the card (LOL)

Thanks for the tips guys I appreciate it. Looking forward to making my first submission. I'm waiting to get a couple more cards in and then I'm going to give them a call and get started!

I haven't had the chance to get cards graded myself as i am fairly new. That last line made me laugh though. Just curious, has anyone ever tried that?

I send all of my cards that are over $100.00, in Ultra Pro one-touch magnetic holders. Just don't except any of them to get returned, I lost $12.00 in holders to BGS before (I made $2,000.00 profit from the cards that came back though, so I'm okay with that. LOL)

If you want the cases back, put a note on your submission form "RETURN CASES PLEASE"
