Box of Strata with an Error!

Hey everyone,

Being it so close to xmas and stuff my girlfriend, me and her brother decided to split a box of Strata today. Well things didn't start off so hot with a redemption and the icing on teh cake was an error. Looking to see what you guys would do to handle it.

Base Auto - Dre Kirkpatrick Redemption
Rookie Relic - Lamichael James
Clear Cut - Jarius Wright Clear Cut Red Patch Parallel /30 (Problem is that the patch is actually from Nick Toon)

So how would you guys handle this? Send it back to Topps? Ask for a replacement?

Will be home later tonight from work but trust me it's black lol, we are all kind of upset about it because for a case hit /30 this stuff shouldn't happen

I pulled a green clear cut of wright with an entire #8 on the patch... Funny thing is he's #17

Might've just confused it with Greg Childs jersey worn at the combine...:)!

combine? how would they have known who they get drafted by at the combine? did you mean premiere? was childs even there?

Remember, what they take/photos at the premiere is a few home/away jerseys and like Ingram 2 years back, probably 40-50 thousand to a million others are just oversized jersey with multiple patch's sewn on to allow companies to make jumbo patch autos to 599/1099/etc....

exactly. yeah since most of the patches are small on other cards you cant tell what number it is so they just use whatever jerseys they have. its unfortunate that this one slipped through the cracks and ended up wrong.

just like Panini, they might have a few of these lying around and just restamp it. I had the same issue before, panini made me destroy the error card, take pictures of it for proof and sent me back the exact same one with the same number, just restamped

Yah needless to say we were disappointed. I mean for an $85 box our main hit was an error and we also hit a redemption. Talk about screwed over. I mean this appears to be the only one to be like this of him out of the /30 print run. So what sucks is that I can't pull a luck or RG3 auto but I can pull a case hit /30 error. Sucks...
