am i the only one who has never seen a topps auto in black sharpie? i own a copy of this exact card and have seen many others but never in black .

It may be the scanner, but it looks to me like the pen was running out of ink...

I think when black sharpie is exposed to strong lights or sunlight for a prolonged period of time it gets lighter. It starts to almost turn purple. That scan or photo reminds me of that. I see it a lot at the high dollar LCS, he doesn't move a lot of his inventory that is in the display cases. Too expen$ive.

I know back in 2010 they put a bunch of black ink stickers on Gary Brown's Sterling autos. I have a black ink and a blue ink 2010 Gary Brown Sterling

This is why you keep your cards in the dark. Some dealer likely had it overpriced for a long time.
