I am home for a little under one month. As such, I can now look for things which are otherwise too effort intensive for the caretaker-of-cards (my father) to find.
This includes sifting through my two 5,000 count boxes of inserts.
What is in there:
* The majority of these inserts are from 96-97 through 04-05. There are some from before that, there are a decent number after that.
* The odds on these inserts range from 1:2 to 1:144.
* Inserts, seeded Short Prints, and parallels. NO BASE CARDS.
What is not in there:
* Popular case hits
* #ed inserts
* Refractors
* Base cards
* Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant
How this works:
Name your player. I will name a price. You agree to purchase all cards of that player at that price. If you agree, I will dig through my boxes and pull out every insert of that player I can find. To give an example, I counted the number of Glen Rice and Chris Webber inserts. There were 8 Glen Rice and 44 Chris Webber.
Prices:
For most players, the price will be between $0.33 and $0.50 a card. "But wait," you say, "I normally buy these at $0.10-0.35 each." That you might. But you also do the digging through boxes yourself. And frankly, if you wanted to come over to my house and do the digging yourself, I might let you have them for $0.25 each. If I'm doing the digging, you're going to pay me a premium for my time.
Shipping is $2.00 if the lot price comes in at under $10.
Examples of tiering
$0.50 each - Shaquille O'Neal, Kevin Garnett, Grant Hill, Chris Webber
$0.33 each - Latrell Spreewell, Glen Rice, Allan Houston, Elton Brand, Shawn Marion
Negotiating terms:
These are the terms, unless it is a large lot. For example, I probably would charge a lower rate on a large lot (IE 44 Webbers).
Do not contact me and do any of the following:
(1) Ask for a list
(2) Try to argue with me about the price
(3) Try to do either of the above after I've spent an hour plus pulling stuff out.
Refractors and #ed cards.
I will also look for refractors and #ed cards elsewhere. Refractors will start at $1, #ed cards will be roughly the same rate as inserts, but scale up for lower #ed cards.
