Don't be freaked. I had an MJ auto that said delivered....called PO, mailman accidentally put package back in his bag

Or he delivered it to the wrong mailbox. It's happened to me and I was doing the same thing as you. Waiting at home for a certain piece of mail. Looked it up online to see the status and boom "delivered". Just not in my mailbox. Had to run the postman down and he backtracked his steps.

If notice was left, then it means it has to be signed for (I think).

Sometimes, my post carrier signs for it and will personally hold it for me until he sees me.

In any event, good luck with the package.

You have the DC - Just write that down and take it to the PO - tell them you didn't get the notice. Odds are they have the package. Has happened to me before where they forgot to leave the notice.

i had that happen 2 days in a row where they said notice left and there certainly was no notice.

I ran to the PO at 8 and just had them give me my mail. You have to go early before the carriers get out for the day.

was finally able to make it to my post office and do my due diligence. very long story short...huge ordeal at post office when it opened led to me getting my package in the mail today. very odd sequence of events that would be difficult for me to type out and remember every last detail...but very odd and in the end...i got my card.
