I think when a card company gives you a redemption, if it is not fulfilled in a year they need to be willing to replace it with something of higher value. I mean, I paid for the box and my best hit was a promise that I would get a card somewhere down the road.

I did contact Dave directly and was told I could replace it for a Gabbert OR Ponder Contenders auto. I know Julio won't be signing during the playoffs, don't blame him. Just doesnt make sense that Panini does this so often. I was just thinking how nice it would be to have that card right about now

I agree, when a redemption isn't fulfilled I believe it should be replaced with a card of equal or higher SV( at your cards highest point) than the card you would of received.

I'm glad he hasn't signed yet. The deeper the Birds go into the playoffs, the more valuable of a "trading chip" you (and others) have. If the Falcons won the SB? You have to believe that a LOT of people will be asking for replacements for their Julio Jones cards. I am waiting on a few myself.

I know. Pissed me off. He wouldn't take requests or anything. I knew I wasn't getting a RG3 or Luck, but he wouldn't even take my request of "I collect Lions" instead he told me "I replace these with Gabbert or Ponder"

It's a lost cause in the redemption. Word was Julio told them he wanted more money to finish signing his rookie cards, Panini said no and Julio told them to kick rocks. He's not going to sign them.

I understand, as this is about the same thing I heard. My gripe is I do not want to have to settle for a Gabbert or Ponder Contenders auto

I had my Julio Contenders replaced a few weeks ago and they gave me an AJ Green Contenders which I thought was a very fair replacement.

Yea I understand what your saying Jason, those are definatley bad replacements. I think the problem is in my opinion all the card companies are in bed with Beckett. They offer there replacements at Beckett pricing. So Beckett knows the card wont be produced so what do they do, they book it at $30 and then in return Panini says all we have to do is give you a $30 card. I think they are all in it together, and when someone hits a good one like the AJ Green replacement its just like someone hitting a scratch off winner. Well so and so got a good replacement Ill just tell then to replace it then you open your mail and get a Gabbert auto lol.

Pretty happy I got mine replaced a while back and was still able to get a Julio on card auto for it, got an Absolute Auto /299

Not as good in terms of value, but it's still a Julio on card RC

Will Panini just mail out these cards with the "No Autograph" stamp when they realize he's really not going to sign them, or do they just drag it out for years?
I'm kind of glad I didn't buy any when I wanted too, because they're clearly not going to happen.

Chris Johnsons NT RPAs just went out this year so you never know. They sent out McCluster and Dwyer Freshman Fabric cards thi year and one had a "No Autograph" stamp on it. I think it has to be a mess down there replacing all these Julio autos. I thought the NFLPA could step in and make him sign. I hope they do sometime soon because he shouldnt have special treatment. He didnt break Jerry Rices record this year Megatron did.

Holding out is the smart play here. If he doesn't sign, you might wind up with a solid replacement, if you're asking for a replacement, you're going to get screwed over.

I'm pretty sure the replacements are going to stay ponder and gabbert. it comes down to do you want them now, or hold out praying Julio sign s so you don't get a scrub auto

I just want my auto so I can complete my set (Playbook booklets)! I'm not looking to move the set anytime soon, so I'm just gonna ride it out until I get a "No Autograph" stamp or if by some act of kindess he signs them.

I agree with the premise that companies need to start paying interest on the "loans" that the redemptions effectively are. It pisses me off that Julio isn't signing as well. I don't have any redemptions of him but to hold out for a little more money when he is going to get payed a ton in his next contract seems a cheap to me.

They just replaced my Julio with a clay Matthews RC elite auto! A little sweet talking goes a long way somethimes.
