I'd have to say mine is probably '53 Bowman Color.
I'd post the Rizzuto I used to have but...I no longer have it, one of my roommate's friends felt the need to walk off with it back in college.

1956 Topps....Had a Mantle years ago that was probably an 8. Sold it in the early 90's for $500.

Mine would have to be a close call between 1953 Bowman Color (awesome photography) and 1953 Topps....just a classic design.

I love the 1959 set. Has such print-bubble issues those.

-Bowman Color is strong, but i was always fond of the 1955 Topps. On even the bad condition cards, those colors pop every time i see one.
Lots of good sets during that decade, but those are two of my favorites...today.
lobo_hacker, one day hoping to grab all the base Mantles from this decade while simultaneously not making his wife divorce him for wasting so much money

I'd have to go with the 55 set. Something about those cards just makes me want to buy them every time I see them!

The square'ish format sets them apart from other cards. Images are a mix of art and photography. No player or brand names are needed. Details on the back are very different from today's cards, often referencing the player's military service.
The 1950 set is full of HOFers, especially Browns :)!

1957 Topps BB, good rookies and hofs here IMO, plus I believe was this the first year career stats were featured on the back??

Great minds think alike I am doing that set in PSA 5 condition and love it. I have the Pee Wee Reese and it is one of my favorite cards
