Espn was debating who is the best closer in the NBA.... Who do you guys think? Try to be constructive and say why you choose the player you did.

I gotta say that the clutchest player the Knicks play against has to be Paul Pierce. Whenever its crunch time and Pierce gets the ball he always seems to sink it against the Knicks and kills us. If we are talking league wide? No idea but I do know that Carmelo has been known to penetrate and get the basket, but his outside shooting isn't always the best in crunch time.

IMO....Lebron James is currently the games best closer.

Sometimes it takes a minute to load. NBA.com recently did a massive upgrade with the stats end of thing. Crazy things like boxscores of every game back to 46.

Chris bosh shoots an exemplary high percentage in those situations...do wade and LeBron put him in great position to score or is he banging outside shoots in?

I'd have to say Kobe....I don't like him but he's someone you don't want to have the ball with 10 sec. left if you're facing him. Then KD I'd say over LeBron, he's unguardable at his size and can knock down a shot from anywhere

Currently or for their career? Currently it looks like Step Curry could be in the debate with Durant. Career wise for current players it is Kobe and/or Pierce.

I believe after Johnson hit his last game winning shot a week or so ago they said on ESPN that he was 7 for 8 in last second shots to either tie or win a game this year. Don't quote me on that but I'm pretty sure that that was the stat they gave.
If I need a score I'm probably taking Kobe or Durant.

Well if you're talking about 'closing' as in wrapping up the game in the fourth, you got Lebron, wade, kd, melo, cp3, Kobe, pierce and Irving. They all take games over in the end. Last possession shots this year at least joe Johnson has been ridiculous. Kyrie also, and JR with 2 buzzer beaters and a lot of clutch shots. I wouldn't call joe Johnson a closer, because he doesn't seem to get you to that situation, but it seems like every time they're in a situation with a chance to win the game he comes thru.

JJ is 9/10 this year with less than 10 seconds on the clock and the score of the game within 3 points.
4 game winners this year already. Talk about clutch
