I am in the market for this card and wanted to know if the value of a Psa 10 is the same or more than a BGS 9.5. Any estimates on prices would help.
Thank you!

Very similar, I'd imagine, if not identical.

Quality of the auto is also key. Many of these have been left out in light and have ugly blueish/black faded autos.

^^^^ He's right.
Be sure to shop for the auto, and not so much the grade.... But shop for both if that's what you like. But definitely hold out for that perfect auto. Anybody can have a Gem card, and then the auto sucks. Although the autos have probably faded in most grading cases, but even if a faded one was sent in, it can still get a Gem grade as they don't grade the auto, or at least not PSA. BGS may still give it a 10 if it's not totally faded, they can give a 10 to a solid black auto, which those cards didn't come in, the auto was blue.
Good luck in choosing the right card for you.

I collect gems so I am sure the gold would be out of my range.

I have one of the 99 Wilt Chamberlain century legends golds /100. Its been locked away with zero light for about 10 years in a pitch black safe. Its ungraded but, is in extremely good condition. Been holding on to this card for along time.
Anyone know what it would go for in an auction today ungraded and/or graded?

You knew back in 2003 that this card would become a "national(lol) treasure"? lol

Not really...I guess I just got lucky and saved the right one. It was either going to be this one or a low #ed bonds auto...I think I picked the right one. I Love This card!!!!

If I try and get this thing graded who should I go with PSA or BGS?

Here is my copy to give you an idea of what Beckett grades a 10.
This thing does not see the light of day...

To answer the OP, a nice autographed copy will set you back 2K+. The golds go for more.
There was an old Beckett article floating around where they estimated there were only about 130 of the non-golds in addition to 100 of the golds.

Ok here is the pic of my Wilt Gold...took it out of its cave to take a pic. Lol. I have it in this crappy case still from 10 years ago...just scared to try and change it now. Im also a little uneasy about sending it to get graded.

What is the reason to change case ASAP? Is there a recomended case or sleeve to use nowadays? Been outta the loop for some years.

Get a newer case with better protection, UV protection, corners, etc.
Move the card out and see if it has any damage, not sure why you would be scared to, eventually you have to. And its better you find out the condition now than another 10 years later.
