At PSA it doesnt affect the grade at all to be honest. It will just have what is called a "qualifier" which will take the grade down 2 numb ers if it grades a psa 5 with a st(stain) qualifier its value will be similiar to a psa 3 i have several psa 9 1972's in my set dut to mis cut and im HAPPY to have them in their.

I thought that the stain qualifier was reserved mostly for wax/gum stains. I have never seen a card get a stain qualifier with water damage.
