You can't really tell, there has only been a handful on eBay, including this one (2010 Bowman Chrome Bryce Harper USA Buyback Auto BGS 9 5 w 10 84 of 100 | eBay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/2010-Bowman-Chrome-Bryce-Harper-USA-Buyback-Auto-BGS-9-5-w-10-84-of-100-/181102162869?pt=US_Baseball&hash=item2a2a87b3b5)) that was graded 9.5. But you should probably be in the right neighborhood as the non-auto Gold /50 sold for $600

It is clean, the auto is a bit streaky on the B, but the card itself looks Gem..my guess is 9.5 with a 9 auto(fingers crossed)...Harper is on fire right now in spring training

Have you got the card yet? I was checking that card out, but that big line on the top right portion of the card scared me. Was that from his scanner or does the card have a noticeable surface problem? Either way it is an awesome card. The auto is really nice.

Great card but sorry, it has no chance at a 9.5. You might have a better chance getting a 10 on the auto though.

Surface and centering will be a 9 or less. Sorry, no shot at a 9.5 but like I said if you get a 10 on the auto a 9/10 or 8.5/10 is a very solid grade for this card. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

I submitted an offer on that one. He countered $1400. If it was any other time of the year for me I may have pulled the trigger.

The biggest thing with these is getting a 10 auto. A 9/10 grade will make a $1400 investment on this card well worth it. A 9/9 and it may be worth what you paid.

Even better IMO. Much more difficult to fake. I would have been in favor of the certified autograph stamp myself.

I don't think I have to send it JSA...BGS has 46 in the pop report...how should I handle this with the seller? Could it be that this was cracked out of the original slab and the didn't want to give it another serial number?

interesting. They don't care if the card has been graded before. I am pretty sure bgs doesn't keep track of serial numbers.

It probably rejected somehow. Wiped and resigned auto? trimmed? You need to wait for the card back and see the reason.

When you get the shipping email (soon if you haven't already) it will give more detail. I had a 2008 UD USA Harper graded on Tuesday that came back 0.0 (Restored). I didn't do anything to it. I'll have to take another look at it when they come back tomorrow but I got it on here.

Depending on the reason, I'd probably file an item not as described and get your money back.

I doubt it though, I bought several high end Rizzos from that seller last year and he was more than an awesome guy.

This is absolutely one of my favorite cards made in recent history. The whole Chrome USA set, auto's or not are absolutely beautiful.

Congrats on the purchase, it is a beaut!

Edit: I've got about 100 redemption packs sitting here that I've considered busting just for that card, I'm not interested in any other auto's. I just can't decide if I want to go for it or take the sure thing and maybe get enough to put down 25-50%of the card..

I guess my question is does BGS keep record of serial numbered cards and if they are sent back in are they just placed under the original serial number? No, your card is altered in some way. The only other possible reason why BGS would say "service unavailable" is if you put a minimum grade on the card and BGSs' review decided that the score was less than the MG. There isn't anything good that can come from this.

I am floored...received the card back and the reason service is unavailable is because it needs a "certificate of authenticity"! Apparently Beckett which has graded these in the past doesn't realize that they were not stamped with the topps autograph certification...they were serial numbered only!!! The charged me 72 bucks for this!!!!!

Already resolved...emailed the head of grading, he responded quickly and aknowledged that it should have been graded and asked me to send it back to his attention...sucks that I have to pay for shipping and ins again, but prompt customer service and a gentleman to deal with.

As to be expected. These are tough grades and the back centering was really off. A card like this UNGRADED 2+ years after release...there is a reason why it's ungraded...and now you know!

My guess is that it probably was graded before and graded poorly so it was cracked out and sold raw.

Still a sweet card though! :)!
