But did anyone else reading that want to know what he meant by searching the Contenders blasters but none were worth buying?

As well as what he meant by increasing your odds at buying a blaster with an auto in it?

I'm not curious so I can do it myself, but just curious as I didn't think there was any way possible at all to do that with blasters, which is why I've always felt it was safe to buy them as opposed to racks or loose retail packs

Just to play devils advocate, I just read a few of his posts and from the standpoint of a writer (me), I feel like his entire blog could be a hoax. There are no specific details of how he searches from what I saw, and all of his images could easily be stolen pics, idk I hope I'm right otherwise I want to punch that douche in the nuts

Sometimes I think I'm too involved in this hobby. It's easy to feel too much time, effort, and money is spent on what little fun I actually do have with this. Then I read something like this, and I realize that I am thankfully nowhere near being to invested in this hobby. This is obviously all this person has in life, it would almost have to be. More than anything, it's sad.

This is what I think. The only way I can easily tell which ones are phot variations are when you hold the cards side by side the variations have a "whiter" appearance on the edges. Just under the assumption that they are printed on the same stuff the inserts are and I have read multiple places that they are heavier than the base. Other than that I have no idea how anyone could tell :confused:

I bet he was shaking his head because he was in disbelief that this loser was going through so much time and trouble to search packs of sports cards. Whatever, I don't care what he thinks.

6:39 p.m. - I went back to my searching. I was pretty unnerved by the situation. I really did think for a moment that he was going to kick me out for searching packs. I decide that searching packs isn't worth getting kicked out of Target or getting arrested. I quickly finish searching the second retail box. I hastily conduct a search for green prizms. I'm not sure if I've found them because I'm in a hurry now, but whatever.

If you're not doing anything "wrong", why would you be unnerved by a confrontation with store security?

Also, you decide it's not worth getting kicked out for pack-searching...but you make sure you finish your pack-searching? Wow.



If you're reading this, I sincerely hope the guys in this thread who have theorized that your blog is all you having a laugh on the card collectors are right. If they're not...then that's all really, really sad.
