I went to an antique store today and found a big box of cards a guy wanted $2 a piece for. He had a lot of junk, but I did end up getting a few really good deals (2005 BDPP McCutchen and Cano refractors, 97 Leaf Bonds/Gonzo insert /2500 along with some others). I also got this card too. I've never seen anything like it and when I Googled it, I couldn't find anything about it. Just hoping someone here can help me out. Here it is:

The card is on really thick stock and the rookie cup is some kind of metal in the cut out window. It is also apparently /3. The back side of the card is just like a regular 1998 Topps base card. Any ideas?

some kind of fake/guy made the card into that? I opened a lot of 98 topps back in the day, dont remember anything like that, and /3 parallels werent really a thing back then.

Alright so apparently topps altered the original card, haha. Knew it wasnt something released in 98 topps. "Original Relics (463) - Hobby Only!
Vintage Topps cards of every Rookie Cup Winner since 1959 arerepurchased and transformed into unique Relic cards featuring an actual Topps Rookie Cup Medallion!"
