My father had owned a card shop around 5 years ago, and when he had to close it down due to slow sales he had moved much of the supplies and opened boxes on the shelf into my grandmother's basement. Through the years we have practically opened anything left, and I hadn't been in the basement for awhile so I was like "what the hell". So I start searching and searching, and finally I happen to stumble upon a small crate. This crate contained the following:

Unsealed box of 2001 Upper Deck Golf, all packs inside

Half a box of 2003 Upper Deck Golf

Roughly half a box of 2001 SP Authentic Golf

Half a box of 2002 SP Authentic Golf

and...

A SEALED box of 2002 SP Authentic Golf :flex:

Me and my dad decided to open all of the boxes except for the sealed box of 2002 SPA.

After not having much success with the first three and a half we decided to save the half-box 02 SP Authentic for last. Through the last 11 packs we had already pulled two autographs, a Corey Pavin Sign of the Times, and a Jess Daley Future Watch auto /2999. Expectations were not high going into the last pack. However, when my dad opened it he let out a small yelp of excitement. In this pack, there was a...

We are debating on what we should do with the sealed 2002 SPA Box. What should we do?

Nice hit with the Phil! Couldn't tell you what to do with the sealed 02 box, but check the completed listing on ebay for any recent sales of those. You may be surprised!

Crack it unless you really need the money.

Nooooo !!!
Don't crack it ..... you've already got the best card in the set and the odds of hitting a Tiger auto are very high ...
You know the odds -- if you open it you'll get your average break and sit there thinking about how much you could have gotten for the box ...

I would think you'd get a decent amount for the box on ebay ... just doing a quick look on a major box dealer's website (I won't mention who since I'm on Blowouts site) and they're asking $ 365 for a box !!

Think you'll get that much out of opening that box ?? Nope, neither do I ....

Put in on ebay , get a nice price for it and buy what cards you'd want for it ...
You're already WAY ahead with the Mickelson ...

If this is a fun hobby to you then rip it, it's basically "free" since it was found - and you never know what's inside. If you look at this as a "business," then sell. Simple as that.

P.S. I hope you rip it and congrats on pulling the Mickelson, I would love to have that in my collection.

Congrats on the pull! That card could possibly raise higher in price with Tiger gone and a chance for someone else to win for once!
