Being so new to this again. I was wondering what is considered rare in the population reports for a PSA 9 or 10? What's a good number from the groups to stay under? 100, 50, ? Thank you.

It is all relevant to demand. Key cards of sets are more likely to get graded.
With few exceptions, I'd stay away from any card that has over 50-100 PSA 9's or 10's. Those cards are usually mass produced and you can expect more 9's & 10's to be graded.

yes, relative to demand, its not always the total# of 9s or 10s that is important, but the % that are graded lower/higher. If there are 50 that are graded PSA 10, but 50,000 that are graded PSA 9 or lower, that is a big premium
If there are 5 graded PSA 10, but only 5 that are graded lower, there is not much of a premium.
