Topps Replacement Redemption Set

Got this letter in the mail along with a Don Sutton Auto. Looks like a cool set they have put together. Sounds like this has a chance to be better then their usual random card laying around :p

I found it cool that they have a special print run for replacements with a unique set. Caught me off guard, I forgot to ask for a replacement, sounds like it paid off.

I know I borrowed (50) 20 dollars bills last year, but there have been factors that have prevented me from returning them to you. I have instead (50) fresh and crisp 5 dollar bills. They are really nice, much nicer than the 20 dollar bills you loaned me. Thanks for your business.

What a freaking slap in the face. Sticker dump saves them money, when they are too lazy to get the sigs and make the cards they promised. What a freaking cop out.

I'll take a sticker of any HOFer over an on card Tyson Ross Dual Patch card. As long as these don't replace high end cards this can be better in a lot of situations.

topps expects you all to miss the point. It would cost them more to make a Ross dual relic card than to sub out a crappy sticker of Don Sutton. You can bet your bottom dollar that they will be doing this for higher end cards also, especially when collectors think this kind of "solution" is ok after waiting for months.

You all ever think back 10-15 years ago and say to yourself, man topps made nice cards back then, what the heck happened? Ill tell you what happened, slowly we let topps get away with this kind of crap. They will be dumping their garbage to clear their books, they don't care about you and your wait, they only care about clearing the books.

The Sutton isn't worth much, but its worth a hell of a lot more then the Tyson Ross would sell for.

Topps knew most would say that. So they make you wait 9 months, don't even try making the card they owe you, then when they thought it was time, reached into their drawer and pulled out something else and told you that was going to be the card you get.

They are screwing you without lube and you all are saying thank you.

Has anyone asked for a replacement on thier Tyrell Jenkins Bowman Platinum "Green" refractor Auto's. I know some have exchanged the base version. I just don't want a Dee Gordon auto as my replacement for the green version /399.
