The Cards have to figure out a way to get this kid EVERYDAY at bats.

He is absolutely outstanding right now. I knew he was a great hitter, but didn't know he would produce like this at the Major League level.
There's really a jam. He can only play 1st..
Jay's the only CF. Holliday, Beltran, and Craig all need to be in the lineup as well.
It's a nice situation with a surplus. I don't really see a trade happening, all though it would make sense to trade Beltran/Craig/or Adams (one of the 3) for a middle infielder.
That would clear up space. I don't know.
Also, Westbrook pitched terrific.

As a mets fan I'm sure we'd be interested in Adams:)!
I'd deal Beltran for prospects, if you want my honest opinion. Most win-now folks will hate that, but... Bigger issue is when Oscar gets called up. Then what?

Yeah, I like Beltran a lot. But with Craig (if you want Adams to play everday), Beltran, Holliday, and Taveras all being corner outfielders, it makes sense to move someone. Especially if we can get middle infield help.

I don't see Craig getting traded as they just signed him to a contract. Beltran would be the guy to most likely to get traded out of that threesome in my opinion.

It's not a big contract and if anything might increase his value. Beltran makes the most sense, I agree, but if the return for Craig was higher I may rather deal him.
Also remember that Beltran will not be back next year. So you've got one OF spot for a combination of three guys after the year. I think Adams gets dealt at some point, to be honest. Big guy which is a concern for irrational GMs who believe fat dudes break down easily. I recall this being an issue when Fielder hit FA, meanwhile I believe Braun had missed as many games as he had. Goofy.

Cant Craig play 2nd? With Beltran out the door, that leaves room for Taveras, but still no hole for Adams unless someone can move.

He was an OF originally. Nope, can't keep converting a guy who isn't built like a MIF, too.

How can anyone justify trading Allen Craig when he is better and more proven than Matt Adams. I would also rather have Beltran this entire year and keep Oscar in the minors. Jon Jay getting a full season's worth of at bats will be SCARY.
I do respect Matt Adams though, his 2010 Bowman prospect cards skyrocketed.

I've been hiding this stuff trying to grab as much as I could before the season started. No way I get to keep buying at those prices now!

Thanks, he has always been solid, but obviously blocked. Lost weight, got his elbow fixed, looks like someone you don't want to pitch to!
