Matt Kemp Auto Replacement Question

-Howdy and happy Tuesday. I have been notified that my standard Tribute Kemp auto from 2012 is now 'late'. Topps has offered me a replacement option of what they refer to as "equal Beckett value".

Those of you with Beckett access, what are my options when i call them to discuss? Thanks for any help/insight, appreciate it.

Don't have Beckett access per se, but I suggest you ask for a replacement of a guy whose autos sell for more than Kemps in Tribute.

I know I requested teams and players and didn't receive either. Mine was replaced with a Josh Hamilton 2011 Threads Auto/Relic #'ed/18....wasn't what I expected and definitely didn't collect player/team....

Well they sent me a 2010 kemp auto for my 2012 tribute to the stars

-Well, we'll see. I called up and spoke with a female that neither identified herself nor sounded very happy to talk to me. Not holding out much hope for a decent card with that kind of start. I did politely and meekly request an on-card auto if possible. I'll update here in a few weeks with what i get.

I called last week and spoke to a woman as well to get my 2012 Heritage Real One Matt Kemp replaced........asked for my PC guy Buxton since all his Bowman cards are coming out. We'll see what I get.

-Update: Got my replacement last week, a 2012 Tribute Mike Schmidt Auto 63/99.

I'm happy, shipping was secure and i've never had a Schmidt auto before.

Of course, it's probably going to be sold or traded soon, but still i'm alright with it.

schmidt isn't exactly a hobby hot cake, but with kemp's stock so low now, could have been worse.

I have the same kemp 2012 tribute redemption, may give them a call tomorrow to replace it.

I understand that stuff happens and autos don't get signed. I'm sure Topps speaks to the player's agents and the agent negotiates the autos and the fee. When the players don't sign, I blame the agent more than I blame Topps. A lot of the time, they probably don't even know they're supposed to sign. However, how the hell are there Kemp auto redemptions in 2013 products? Why would they expect him to sign his 2013 Tribute autos when he hasn't signed his 2012's? What a joke!
