I have a quite a few saved searches that I have saved on eBay. One of those saved searches was for a 2011 Topps Update Mike Trout Red Parallel.

I was doing some research on the graded versions, and noticed that PSA had 2 that were graded a PSA10: 2011 Topps Update (http://www.psacard.com/pop/Detail.aspx?c=100690)

Last month, I saw this one pop up on eBay, which sold for $167.50, PSA Serial 21035284: PSA 10 Mike Trout 2011 Topps Update Rookie Target Red Border Rookie US175 | eBay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/PSA-10-MIKE-TROUT-2011-TOPPS-UPDATE-ROOKIE-TARGET-RED-BORDER-ROOKIE-US175-/230938370678)

Yesterday, this one popped up on eBay:
Pop 2 PSA 10 Mike Trout 2011 Topps Update Rookie Target Red Border Variation SP | eBay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/POP-2-PSA-10-MIKE-TROUT-2011-TOPPS-UPDATE-ROOKIE-TARGET-RED-BORDER-VARIATION-SP-/221217972255?pt=US_Baseball&hash=item33819e601f)

I thought it was odd that BOTH of the PSA 10s would pop up on eBay one month apart.

Then, I noticed that the new one listed had the same PSA serial number. Then, I noticed it was the same seller: psa.gems.

Of course, there could be multiple reasons why they are attempting to resell.

So, I decided to check to see if feedback had been left, which it had:
eBay Feedback Profile for psa.gems (http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&ftab=AllFeedback&userid=psa.gems&iid=-1&de=off&items=25&interval=0&mPg=499&page=20)

The "user" who left feedback was sarcyrus:
eBay Feedback Profile for sarcyrus (http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=sarcyrus&ftab=FeedbackLeftForOthers)

If you look at the feedback they have left for other users, you can see that this account is linked to a number of other accounts that have been considered shilling sellers.

Cliff notes: psa.gems could be a shady seller on eBay.

Yesterday called out for trimming, today for shilling. Great couple days for him.

wasn't this the seller that had a trimmed cracked ice (PSA 10) robert griffin III for sale?

either way, with a world full of greed, i am not surprised.

Thanks for sharing this. I'm gonna be staying far away from anything he is selling

I'm not following your claim here....appears to me the buyer's id in question(sarcyrus) has bought several topps PSA 10 cards and a slew of PSA 8-9 1969-74 topps cards. A number of these have come from sellers I personally have bought vintage for a few of my collectors from like probstein123, 4 sharp corners, etc and looking at his buy list it even includes alot of Best offers. Some of his buys are under $10 for vintage topps PSA cards of commons which doesn't jive with a shillers account. Also shillers usually wont buy anything best offer. I'm not saying your wrong but I don't believe this ebay id is shilling auctions based on the auctions I see won and from the sellers he/she has won them from. My theory is PSA.Gems probably had 2 PSA 10's of the same card and didn't rescan or sent the other one to him when purchased a month ago.

If your theory is correct then he is violating eBay rules. It clearly states that the card pictured is the card you receive. Also just because someone wins or buys items on an account doesn't mean they can't shill.

Thanks to my wife calling me to tell me a new thread has started up, appreciate her now reading this forum, thanks, I am being falsely accused of shill bidding now.

The Mike Trout in question was sold and shipped back in early March. The one listed was purchased at the Chantilly card show in Virginia in early April. I bought it along with 30 or so other psa graded cards ... until now, I had no idea I had purchased back the same card I sold so thanks for letting me know. The dealer was really surprised when I told him I sold one just like it and what it had auctioned for as he thought it was worth more....

Please see image of the payment transaction in my paypal account showing the item was paid and shipped.

Again, all I ask is you guys get your facts right, people are reading these threads and being influenced by what you say, and what you are saying about me today and the other day is FALSE. I am now pulling the rg3 and telling my consignment customer he must list it elsewhere and suggesting he send it back to PSA for a 2nd verification because quite frankly I do not need these headaches....

again, hope I have addressed the shill bidding questions raised in this thread

I would gladly apologize - it's not the first time I found been proven wrong.... today.

At this point, I still find it strange - because there are even more examples - not just the Trout:

Sold to sarcyrus:
PSA 8 Cal Ripken Jr Bob Bonner Jeff Schneider 1982 Topps Rookie Future Stars | eBay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/PSA-8-CAL-RIPKEN-JR-BOB-BONNER-JEFF-SCHNEIDER-1982-TOPPS-ROOKIE-FUTURE-STARS-/370780468089?nma=true&si=fCIF0RkI%252Fuw05JXMzmcjmib%252FAF0%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557)

Now for sale again by psa.gems
PSA 8 Cal Ripken Jr Bob Bonner Jeff Schneider 1982 Topps Rookie Future Stars | eBay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/PSA-8-CAL-RIPKEN-JR-BOB-BONNER-JEFF-SCHNEIDER-1982-TOPPS-ROOKIE-FUTURE-STARS-/370802528985?pt=US_Baseball&hash=item56558d92d9)

Same serial number.

Again, psa.gems - I hope for your sake it really is just a crazy similarity - and these cards wound up back for sale by you, after you repurchased them.

Outsider perspective looking in, you have to admit how it appears suspicious.

Good luck with your sales, and I apologize for my post as libelous, per se, as it depicts you false light.

It is very refreshing, guilty or not, although nowhere near as entertaining.

I still have concerns about this as well especially when taken with the info in the other thread on the football side. Just a lot of coincidences which could be unlucky or maybe more to it.
