I'm trying to figure out for my end. So I know what to expect. I charge cheaper shipping on my items anyway.

Offer free shipping if its that highend. Insurance depends on the price of the card, I mailed my highend luck auto insured sig all that for like $11

Offer free. It'll cost about $5ish for the lowest based on what you are asking. You can look up quotes on usps.com for exact insurance costs.

I just had to send an item for work, insured for $100. It was under 3oz, I used a 000 bubble mailer, and it cost about $4.15 using paypal ship now.
Just go on paypal's shipping section and pretend you were shipping the item with the services you want, it should give you a price before you have to pay for it.

I wasn't sure what service to use was my main concern. when i posted this i was hoping someone would say just use this service and it costs this much through paypal. im clueless when it comes to anything after 1.69 in a bubble

no pete had the price listed for that ripoff insurance that paypal tells you to use...can't remember the name of it, but it costs more than the usps insurance, you just need to make sure to reselect the usps insurance!

Just go to the post office, it'll be alot less painful for you. Might cost a $1 or $2 more than the skiddish paypal/ebay route, but what's it matter if you're making $300+?

So the insurance through PayPal is not USPS? On the options it says PURCHASE USPS INSURANCE. I used it for the first time just the other day for work so I never really looked into it.

Just take way more pennies than you think it will cost. You can also pre-roll your pennies at home so you don't have to count them out at the booth.

If ending price is under $200 it should cost you about $6

My apologies for my previous post.
Free shipping will do it. As someone that has bought plenty of cards in that range, all of my offers roll in with "shipping included. i.e., I'll send $194 + $6 shipping. It gets you nothing by charging for shipping IMO and likely makes others laugh at your listing...

Same here. Will be changing my listing to free shipping domestic
As for shipping cards that high, eat the shipping. I usually ship expensive cards like this wrapped in bubble wrap and in a small flat rate box.
Glad the fat was trimmed off this thread too.

ALWAYS eat the shipping when selling in a BIN/BO format as well. Just add the shipping price to your selling price. Saves headaches.

For the record since I didnt see anyone post this. You can input the info into ebay so the buyer pays the exact rate, but I also realize you stated what it would cost you.
Go to: Postage Price Calculator (http://postcalc.usps.com/)
You can input any 2 zipcodes since that doesnt effect shipping rates and then add the rest of the info you need to get the exact rate. The link above is only for domestic shipping. For international shipping you need to use this link
International Price Calculator (http://ircalc.usps.com/)
Since shipping is the same

Thanks. I was trying to figure out the best service to use as far as first class or priority. I honestly didn't know first class had sig required. If anyone wants to verify I'm using free shipping here's the link. http://bit.ly/17yCSvr
Most of the time I charge a flat 2.50 +.50 for each additional max at 4.00 for my shipping.

You can get signature confirmation on either.
One thing for your auction - you've got how it will be shipped and stating buyer will pay - need to edit your listing and remove that info (or at least change it so that the buyer knows thats how it will be shipped to them).
